Player ratings V Everton (A)

Afternoon lads, hope your all well.

After a lethargic and tepid first half by Spurs, that was a much improved second half performance and in the end we should have won. A decent result away from home but Everton were there for the taking today.

Here are my ratings for today -

Lloris - 7 Should he have done better with their goal? i don't know. Great tip over the bar in the first half to keep the score at 1-0. Don't know why he went off injured?

Walker - 8 My motm, Great cross for Lamela's goal. Superb goal saving tackle in his own box and was a machine up and down that right flank.

Alderweireld - 7 Another solid performance by Toby, reads the game so well, got forward to good effect too in the second half.

Vertonghen - 6 Looked a bit off the pace but thats not surprising seeing as he has hardly played all pre-season. Got better as the game wore on.

Rose - 7 Another blood and guts display be Rose, An awful back pass almost cost us but apart from that played well.

Dier - 7 Decent display by Dier and made some crucial tackles and headers in our own box.

Wanyama - 7 Tackled well and kept it simple. Not sure if the Dier and Wanyama double pivot works though. Solid start to his Spurs career.

Lamela - 6 Anonymous like most of our attackers in the first half but improved in the 2nd half, excellent header for his goal and he drove us forward trying to get the winner.

Alli - 6 Worked hard but wasn't anywhere near his best today. Touch was poor and looked very rusty.

Eriksen - 5 I love Eriksen but he was outmuscled too often and his overall application was poor today. How he stayed on the pitch is beyond me.

Kane - 5 Very poor, heavy touch, poor decision making and he wasn't given a sniff all day against Jagielka.


Subs -

Vorm - 7 Great stop when Delefeou was one on one. Cool display.

Janssen - 7.5 Gave us a real spark when he came on. Really shook up the Everton defence and came so close to scoring.
