I think we looked good - the one note I'd make is I feel a midfield 3 of Oscar, Matic and Kante is a bit too defensive when playing at home.

Would have liked to have seen Fabregas/RLC given the nod ahead of Matic today if we're going to play Kante that deep.

Having said that I think Matic did his job okay today, however I agree that Fabregas ahead of Oscar or Matic would have given us better balance.

The best part of today was our physicality, we won the ball back well, and even Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic were combative at the back.

Overall I was impressed with the players. Wasn't perfect, but they showed a great attitude.

The most positive thing was that hunger looked back. Ability was never in question it was the hunger and with it we are a different animal. Batman with an assist

With the new rule changes I feel Costa will be banned quite often this season.
Any decision that is contested is a yellow card which is so harsh, i.e Dave today was booked for something that was not a foul

Matic is just a passenger in midfield. Has the same passing range as Mikel as well

Harsh in my opinion. He may well not have the same range of passing as other midfielders, but he did well to secure the defence with Kante.

That rule that disputing a decision automatically results in a yellow is an absolute joke. This is professional football and the margins are thin, Often a referees poor decision/inconsistency that manifests the outrage.

Oscar had a very good game though
