OK so it's Saturday but I had a busy week!
Another week where it is our first fixture so no history to reflect on, though a couple of reunions to look forward to.
I expect to see Darragh Lenihan in Rovers midfield. Darragh had 15 starts having arrived just as Gary Rowett left but was spoken well of by Jimmy.
And Lee Wiliamson made 56 starts for Blackburn.
On Tuesday we ought to get a look at Kevin Stewart who has become a regular part of Liverpol's match day squad.
And of course Nigel Clough spent time at Anfield, wearing the famous number 7 soon after Kenny Dalgliesh if I recall correctly.
Latest "Brewer on the Box" last night - Timmy Thiele, also wearing 7 for Carl Zeiss Jena. No goal for Timmy I'm afriad, upstaged by a Lewandoski hat-trick as the German Champions won 5-0.

I had totally forgotten about Lenihan until he ran on the pitch as a substitute after an hour. He was a fine player for us and I am disappointed in myself for forgetting him. He got a round of applause from the Brewers fans today when he ran on. Well done Brewers fans.
Some Brewers home 'fans' seem to boo anyone who once played for us which is poor behaviour. If a player left under a cloud by being disruptive, forcing a move, having a bad attitude or bad mouthing the club after he left, go for it. Otherwise, respect and appreciation should be shown if it is due.
I will be extremely disappointed if Kevin Stewart gets any stick. He is probably our best loan siging ever.
