Remember that one? Well, the players will need it this season as there is gonna be a lot of crap hitting the fan from the lack of transfer activity for years apparently coming to a head.
Can our players take the pressure of fans giving the club some stick?

We weren't skint then though, the accounts are there for all to see. It's funny Wenger lies so much that literally everything he says is disputable, looking at Walcott, Ox, Bendtner, Djourou, Denilson, Diaby etc. His comment about not wanting to kill his young players seems plausible.

Wenger doesn't like the media hounding players, he is happy to take all the blame himself its why he never gives straight answers in interviews and will take the blame himself. It adds to fans frustrations but if it pays off if they do become good but sadly it doesn't seem to happen much now. Look at his constant faith in walcott

Have you read Arsenal Holdings accounts from 2005/2012??

Putting the accounts to one side basic maths demonstrates if a (self-sustaining) business the size of AFC makes a £400m commitment, there will be inevitable financial consequences.
All of which were intensified as the (global) economy was enduring a recession.
To suggest AFC were somehow immune to these financial conditions is absurd.

Not entirely, this gives you some figures within the timeframe you mentioned. 39m profit in 2008 when according to you we couldn't afford Alonso without going bankrupt.

Constraints and being skint are completely different, our stadium debt runs until 2031 regardless of how much we have in cash reserves.
According to this report we had a cash balance of 74m which had rose to 224m by 2015.

So you don't think wenger tries to protect the players? Or you think he actually believes the crap he says?
