when Whelan asked Pope about Roofe's age he went silent for about 15 secs, he then commented that he has yet to see what all the hype was about.

I think Roofe has something about him, he has stepped up two leagues. Need to give him time before judging more. Looks like he's happy to put himself about a bit and will get goals.

i agree Harro he has the something about him he can be a big player for us!

Not being funny but at the price he's cost, he should be something good.

I don't buy into this he's moved up two leagues. Yes he's playing against better players but he's also playing with better players.

Cook moved straight from youth team and looked brilliant.

Now am not saying he won't do well for us, but for me his lack of proper pace is a worry.

He's not the player he was made out to be on here with his pace and that he'd rip the league up.

He's not a kid, he's 23 and at the moment, he doesn't get in the team for me

I disagree about Murphy being treated appallingly Lubo. He's on a decent wage and hasn't really done anything special the whole time he's been here aside from scoring the winner on his debut and having a little purple patch a year or so ago. If we get a semi-decent offer for him from anyone I would snap their hands off.

If you mean he's had bad treatment because he's seemingly not in the picture anymore then that's just football. Monk said in his interview he's very open with all the players so it's not like he's been shunted off to the side with no idea why.

Some folk here told us everyone in football knew about Roofe, he was that special a talent.

To be fair to Shaun anyone who follows football in this country with a good level of interest had heard of Roofe....the premier league casual fans maybe haven't

People knew nothing about roofe apart from two bits of information.

1) he has scored loads in league 2
2) his player profile often states he can play as a striker or a winger.

This led to loads of people who knew nothing else about him assuming cause he scored goals and can play on the wing he must be quick.

I imagine a lot of people in football did know about Roofe to be fair, he had the most combined goals+assists tally out of all the top 4 divisions last season If I remember correctly.
