The shirts myth used to drive me crazy... even the simplest look at the numbers involved would tell you that a team isn't going to earn close to 100M just from shirt sales prompted by a new signing....

It's because people didn't comprehend that the manufacturers make most of the money. So many seemed to think Adidas, Puma and co pay hundreds of millions just to appear on the shirt.
