Was having a debate with some of my charming acquaintances on another thread about the signings LVG made and whether they were good or not.
One of the players mentioned was Falcao. Now of course he was a loan signing but he was still a player brought in to be a starter and we ended up selling Welbeck to make room for him.
So my question is this. When talking about signings a manager makes, can loan signings be part of that discussion. I certainly count Tevez as a SAF signing because he ended up playing a big part of that great season.
Yes , he was a loan signing but he did sign a piece of paper and played a role for us that would be exactly the same as anyone purchased for us would do.
Does a loan signing count as a signing?

He'd just come off a stunning season with Liverpool.
.............
Stop it Robb, you are killing me.

So you don't think he'd just had an amazing season for Liverpool? Bizarre
................
What is bizarre about it? He had a very good season.
Amazing and Stunning is you being over the top on purpose.
And coming out and saying England should build a team around him on the back of that one season is utterly ridiculous as has been proved.

Guy's going to be a star. With him and Sterling England might actually do well one day soon.
...............
You forgot to take in the Roy factor, when coming out with this one.

Robb after I pointed it out a few times and others chimed in you quickly changed the subject as you had nothing left to debate, you'd been made to look foolish once again...

Nearly everyone on this article has pointed out how wrong you were

Partly wrong Robb. I think Kane may well go on to be a star player. Certainly at club football. Not sure internationally.

Nope everyone called it a loan signing which is exactly what I was saying....
Nice try.

Facepalm.
They all said a loan signing counts the same as any signing in the context of the debate. Which you fruitlessly denied

I reckon Sterling can still be a top player. He just needs to be taught the right things and Pep seems the right guy for the role

Give it a year or two, and Sterling will be moved on. Simply hasn't got it in his locker imo.
