I actually like Lucas Perez

Like most folk, I didnt know the guy until this week but from the you tube clips I have seen I must say I am actually excited.The guy ticks so many boxes I am surprised he costs so little.

A lot has been said about his background and previous struggles but it is evident he is a late bloomer just like Vardy himself.Make no mistake this is not a journey man who plods around.The guy has lots of ability and a cultured left foot.Funny how we have so many left footed players in the squad now.

Very sweet left foot, speaks english, good finisher, decent dribbling,great awareness, got an eye for a pass, plays of the last defender but to top all that he is a scrapper and a hardworker. Almost reminds me of Sanchez. I actually think he can do what we require, its a pity his name is not Benzema or Suarez.

The big question which is the only issue for me, is how will Wenger line us up? I personally think Sanchez is being misused at the moment nd must either go back to the left flank or play the no10 position. We are not getting a good return of the Chilean at all.

I don't mind Ozil on the left flank, has played there before and I think lets give Sanchez a run in the number 10 position. With a clear and concise plan Sanchez can easily get more than 25 like in his first season. Perez is easily worth 15 - 20 but he will create space and occupy defenders to allow the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil to run into.

Lastly I know a lot of people have made an issue of Mustafi's height even though his aerial competitiveness is quite high but his ground speed and ability on the ball is possibly among the best I have seen in the game currently.

He will allow us to play high up the pitch with little to worry about. Also allows us to groom Holding nicely.

Lots to be optimistic about.Its a pity these signings have been made this late in the season.
