This Perez-Mustafi(-Lacazette) transfer saga has been dragged out over recent days. As far as I'm aware, prices have been agreed and medicals have been undertaken (for the first two), so what's stalling things?
I'm really concerned it's today's game.
It would be just like Wenger to scrape a win today, act like nothing is wrong with the squad and that Liverpool was just a freak, state that the squad is fine as it is, pull the plug on all new business and go, "Look, I've saved the team upwards of £50m, aren't I clever?" And the board, who all love a good bargain, will lap that up.
I'm hoping for a draw at best today, because if we win, especially convincingly, be prepared to watch our potential transfers evaporate.
Concerned about today

Both done and should be announced tonight. The game comes first. We aren't signing Lacazette so forget about that one

And then he'll say if we can beat Watford then we can beat anyone and sell Özil as he didn't even play and therefore we don't need him.

Guess they are too fit and played too much football in the last 3 years for your liking.
