Szczesny
Sangna Mertesacker Koscielny Santos
Song Arteta
Chamberlain Persie Gervinho
Walcott
Anyone think this could be our best line up. Playing VP in the Bergkamp role and allowing Walcott to play in his favoured striking role. VP would certainly give us some of that creativity we lost with Cesc. Naturally i have taken into account injuries to TV and Wilshere.
Winning Line-up?

I'm still really dubious that Walcott has got the minerals to make it as a lone striker.
Apart from the obvious attributes you need playing that position (finishing ability, intelligence etc) you need a bit of physicality and you need to know how to play with your back to goal, Walcott doesn't tick either of them boxes!
In a traditional 4-4-2 I reckon he'd stand a good shot as a striker, but not up top on his lonesome in my opinion.

Ideally rvp would have a free role. However, wenger is very stubborn and won't change things

Agreed which would make him dangerous. I would imagine AW would play Arshavin instead of the OX.
Ryo is definitely another option depending on who is more ready between him and the OX

I think RVP is key to how our season pans out. Playing him just behind a striker is certainly his strongest position. We will have to see how good Park chu young is aswell, hopefully he's the answer.

I guess it will depend on how close VP is played to Walcott. If he plays more of a supporting striker role i think Walcott will come good. in an attacking mid role you may be right. Worth a try though.

Rvp played in a free role in the int'l friendly albeit against a weak opposition & scored 4

Isn't song still out for another game?

Yes but this line up is not based on the next game. Gervinho is out too i think. This is what i think will be our strongest line-up over the next few months until TV and Wilshere are back.

Oh that's true! Frimpong is available again for the weekend isn't he? Was impressed with him against Liverpool, maybe he was just abit to over eager to impress.
Btw, what do Arsenal fans think of Ramsey before his injury i thought he was quality but he's gone abit downhill since then kind of like Eduardo did, it's a shame really :/

I think Frimpong is potentially a brilliant player. He was over eager in the Liverpool game but had a stand out performance until he was sent off. He will learn from him mistakes.
As for Ramsey, people need to give him a bit more time. He was out for so long. I believe he needs to get half a season of football under his belt before we see him at his best.

it looks alright, but i'm not sure it would work. Rotating Ramsey, Wilshere and Arteta all around one position would be hell, and i'm not sure Ox is actually ready for consistent 1st team football in the premier league
Wenger plays the 4-3-3 system because it allows for two creative midfielders alongisde Song/Frimpong, and being the way he is, I cant see him endangering the amount of playing time Ramsey and Wilshere get any more than he has done already with the aquisition of Arteta
