to replace Craig Levein as Scotland manager. Levein just doesn't cut it for me. Barely managed a victory against Leichtenstein and had most of Europe in stitches at our 6-4-0 formation against the Czechs. Utterly cringeworthy and not good enough.
Walter would be the ideal man for the job. He's a wily old fox who knows how to grind out results. The part time position would be ideal for him. He'll never have us playing free flowing attacking football but what manager would? The SFA should grow a set of balls and appoint Smith now.

Next time I wont move to Germany or Istanbul to live for a few years I'll read local Derry news to get your rubbish local references, then my eyes will really be opened to the world, eh?

Walter Smith...are you fekn kidding me?
I thought we wanted to move forward and TRY and play progressive football?? We need a manager and an association that are prepared for the team to take a right few pumpings, while we begin to pass the ball from back to front...at pace.
We've become an International team of damage limitation, with backs-to-the-wall performances, which in the end, have saved us from a few batterings yet still we've qualified for nowt.A bit like Walter in Europe and the Lemmings followed suit
Billy Reid, a fine young Scot, with the right ideas on possession football

Who got his team relegated from a league with the lowest % relegation of any top flight in Europe. Aye he's the man for us right enough.
"Don't worry Kirk, you can skin David Villa big man"
Behave!! I would love to see Scotland play silky football but if the players cannot use both feet (and some struggle with one) then there's no point in trying to play like Barcelona. Over time we can develop the future generations but for now we are what we are.
We should be making sure we play all our best players though, and for me Steven Fletcher should be our number 1 striker. The guy had a better goals to shots ratio than Rooney last season.

+++++
Would that have happened had he been at a bigger set up???
What had Craig Levein achieved for his selection???
Typical response from a fan who has watched his team succeed, while playing regressive, dull football.
