Bolton Wanderers v Southend United

The feel good factor is back at the macron stadium, the1st time since it changed from Reebok? Spottings of folk wearing Bolton tops around town which was rarer the the lesser spotted twardzik last season. Top of the league with 13 points and a busy transfer deadline day the first one in living memory. Back at the macron today is Phil 'sunbed' brown. Ex player, caretaker manager, assistant manager and initial target as manager to replace Neil Lennon by dean Holdsworths sport shield consortium. Southend struggling in 19th with just 4 points represent the type of banana skin Bolton have to avoid slipping on if they are to get promoted. Team news. The injury list is extensive. Davies out for the season, also out are pratley, Clough, Clayton and dervite. The timescale on their return is unknown. Derik, trotter and proctor have been nursing injuries and it is unknown if they will be fit or not today. 5 new signings alnwick, Thorpe, Henry, ameobi and Anderson are available to make their debut and a couple may be chucked straight in depending on the fitness of trotter and proctor. After a high is always a low. Expecting a tough game by a team highly motivated by Phil brown to get a result at his old club. Predict 1-1.

Its all change after the window closed between now and the Jan windows we'll see what any changes have done for everybody in the league. I'll not complain if we keep it up can we keep enough fit and manage it though.

I am pleased with the signings. There is potential to sign these players long term. Good to see you back CEF.

How are the attendances looking, CEF?

If we can get everyone fit, Mavies obviously excluded, we will have some competition for places and definite formation options. Fingers crossed this isn't beginners luck and we continue to get some serious points on the board during the first half of the season.

Hi Fin, was going to reply on your article but it wouldn't let me.
I'm still around, just been so busy with work and sorting stuff out at the rugby club with committee work that I've just not had the time to get the league back up and running. Had all my files corrupt on my PC as well so lost all the standings toward the end of last season which was a little bit annoying!

Good to see both finlay and WF putting in an appearance.

I know work and family can get in the way of spending time on here. Both have to come first.
