Hi, everyone. I am a long time reader on here and an very occasional poster. I have been on 606 since it was the old one and long before Jinkygate.
I am on the scrounge for sponsorships and I know what it's like when people come scrounging for money but if I don't try, I wont get.
My 62 year old dad was diagnosed this year with a terminal brain tumor and as bad as it is, Macmillan cancer support have been golden in the way they have helped both him and my mother through everything so I wanted to give something back. Tonight at 8pm I will be starting a 24hr online gaming marathon on the PlayStation with only breaks to go to the toilet. I am an old school gamer and am lucky if I get an hour a week these days so it will be quite a challenge. All the money raised will go to Macmillan to thank them for the great work they have done for my family and the millions of other families out there affected by cancer. To make it the ultimate sacrafice, I'll be missing the game on Saturday!
I know none of you know me, but as I said, I have been on here for a long time and I would be lost without 606. It gives me some of the best laughs I get all week. Also, I can post a photo to prove my dad is in fact real.
Sorry to be on here looking for money, but as I said, every penny I can get gives something back to a wonderful organisation.
Enjoy the game tomorrow and stay safe.

Hi, thank you all for your kind donations. I know there are charities on every corner so I know what it's like when another person comes asking. It means a lot to me that you have kindly donated to the event I am doing. As I said in the OP, I want to give something back and it's overwhelming the support I have had. Sadly, too many people nowadays are affected by cancer and my dad is just one in many that Macmillan have been amazing with.
I'll let you know how it all goes if I am able to type tomorrow night, if not it'll be Sunday.
I'll look forward to reading the fall out after the old firm too. I hope there aren't too many controversial moments!
Thanks guys!

Hi Zico,
sorry to hear about your aunt.
I have heard a lot about cannabis oil and I believe if anything it can dramatically slow it down. My dad is going to try it, but is waiting until he has finished the strong chemotherapy he's on just now.
Anything is worth a try in my mind.

Hi Guys,
Just a wee quick post to say we finished the gaming marathon tonight at 8pm and it was possibly one of the hardest things I have ever done. We raised over £1000 for Macmillan though so it was worth every bit of pain. I can thank you enough for your kind donations. It means the world to me to have raised money for this great cause and every donation helped me do that.
I have been up for 37 hrs now, so I'll keep it short.
Thanks again,
Fas.
