Pogba

Now I'm not gonna try and persuade anyone he had a great game because he didn't but there were a few flashes of what he offers and when he's fully match fit he will be immense.

On a few occasions in the second half he showed great fleet of foot and surged past players before being fouled. He has the ability to hurdle most challenges and run with the ball and starting attacks from nothing.

it will be great to see that when we have a sharper Miki playing and Rashford or Martial on the left so Pogba can pass to them and keep the counter attack going

Overpaying massively is the only consistent thing United have done in the past 3 years.

You will win 90% if not more of your games against most teams except City, Spurs and Liverpool.

Teams with movement and quick players are going to tear you new ones.I dont expect Jose to change anything. The current formula is actually good enough to win the league unless City have some crazy consistency which I doubt they will.

You just need to accept that you are a languid team that keeps its shape without the ball and has match winners like Pogba, Zlatan & Rooney to win games.

Thats it, you are never going to be a great team like Barca, Bayern, not with Mourinho in charge. He will win the odd trophy and remains my favourite to win the league.

Having said that if Sergio had played today it was definitely going to be another 1-5.

you looked awful in the first half

Lol for one thing, a midfield partner like Fellini will not work. As was said a million times, he needs a midfield 3 to work effectively. For a player who cost so much, it shouldn't take so much to make him work

Pogba was dreadful. Doesn't have the defensive nous or the playmaking capabilities to play in a '2' in the 4231. Saw that in the euros and saw it today. De Bruyne ran him ragged, yet De Bruyne was allegedly a rip-off at £54m

Write pogba off at your peril. We all know we probably paid 200%+ of his true value, but he will get a lot better as the season progresses.

People writing Pogba off after he's played 3 games
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has SAF ever sold anyone who went on to be a world beater? We're talking about a man who sold RVN, his best player, because he saw the potential in the young Ronaldo here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't see the relevance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If a young player is really world class, SAF seems willing to do all he can to develope him. He didn't do that with Pogba.

Pogba is not as great as our resident 'blow with the wind' Aussie and Juve lover make out.
He has to play in a 3 man midfield as he lacks discipline.
He rarely dominates against top opposition. He has that trick where he lets two players descend on him and he swivels and goes past the both using a quick two step a la Peter Beardsley almost.
I want to see him dominate games and not showboat. Get stuck in too. Most of the problem is having plums like Fellaini next to him. Today's match was made for Carrick, Herrera and Pogba combo.
Carrick still our best DM who is disciplined and knows how to shield his back 4.
