Do Barca have the three best Players?

Based on age and ability in world football?

Ronaldo obviously gets alot of goalscoring headlines but I am not sure his all round impact matches Suarez, Messi or Neymar...

And has this ever happened in football before, I guess real had Figo, Zidane and fat Ronaldo at the same time.

You guys seem to have forgotten Sacchi's Milan side
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think they scored a record number of European Cup goals in winning the competition was it 1989-90? Beat Real Madrid 5-0 in the home leg of the semi final?

Ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Painful memories, those, but I heavily doubt they scored a record number of goals. They weren't typically a high-scoring side, despite the heavy winning margins in the semi and final.

Just checked...

20 goals in 88-89, just 12 the following year, both from 9 games.

In 59/60, Real Madrid scored 31 from 7 games.

(I don't know if that's the outright record either, just the first edition that sprang to mind due to the 7-3 final.)

Maradona was playing back then so Milan obviously didn't have the three best players in the world.

Exactly.

Matthaus too was worth a shout amongst the top handful. History doesn't remember him that much because he was an extremely dislikeable cant.

"There is nothing ridiculous in saying a player who scored 59 goals in 52 apps last year and who is on fire to start the season is one of the best players in the world."

I never said him being ONE of the best is a ridiculous assertion. I said that him being THE best is ridiculous. Get it straight.

He certainly has an argument for the best player in the world over the last year, nothing ridiculous about that. He scored as many goals as anyone and has a better alk round game than Ronaldo for example

Ability's a bit of a vague term, though. On overall performances, on not looking solely at goals and assists, I deffo would have Suarez above Cristiano over the past year.

posted on 16/9/16

Yeah but I wouldn't have him above Messi.

Ron
He isn't par with Messi. Ludicrous to suggest otherwise.
