Sturridge

Thought he was very good today with an under rated performance. Was constantly moving the Chelsea back four around and got in behind a couple times.

Hopefully his injury is nothing serious as he's looking as fit as I've ever seen him and has his mojo back.

He was involved in us keeping the ball well but he didn't look fit again to me.

I didn't see much running and I don't think he would have played if Firmino was fit.

He doesn't seem capable of a run of games in peak condition.

Sturridge was subbed due to an injury, klopp didn't take him off for tactical reasons.

Not true - Klopp wasn't happy with his intensity and pressing. There was no injury as has been made out even if Sturridge did go straight down the tunnel - Klopp confirmed it in the post match presser.

Totally agree over Sturridge.
He seemed content to jog around the pitch, and showed little intensity when it came to closing down defenders.
I was calling for Klopp to take him off asap, and thankfully he did.

I agree that he was taken off at the right time, but I'm not having the 'lazy' stuff. He did plenty during the first half, mainly off the ball. Some of you seem to think that if a player isn't running around like a headless chicken, then he's being lazy.

Yeah I see klopp said no injury, was being reported as one earlier.

I agree term, I'd say Sturridge was making clever runs, which meant he didn't have to sprint all over the show. He played a big part in our win.

I don't know why but he's a character that people want to find something wrong with, whether it's his attitude or work rate or where he's being played. He gets over analysed to the enth degree.

It was a tactical sub and I think it was the right move. In fact, I though the Coutinho and Wij sub's were 5-10 mins late.

Has anyone called him lazy?

Thought Sturridge played well last night. He hasn't ever been a player that runs around loads. He's clever enough to get himself in the right position without having to leg it there.

Has anyone called him lazy?

It's seems to be a recurring underlying implication. I can't think that people would say he doesn't run around enough without inferring that.
