Who wins this one?
Canela takes on the WBO light-middleweight champ Liam Smith tonight.
Alvarez, has squeezed back down to light-middle to avoid the fight to GGG, but he is very good at cutting weight, and expect him to be 170lbs in the ring against Smith.
Smith even though a world champ is un-tested at this level and lacks the experience of Alvarez, but seem like a tough fighter, that likes his body work.
Khan has said, the fight being in Vegas and Canela being the meal ticket to so many, Smith will have to win the rounds convincingly to get a decision, which is likely to be very true.
Canela has a good boxing brain, great timing of his shot, and big one punch power.
How do you see this one going?
Will their be an upset on the cards?
I think Canela might take this, probably on points, maybe has a chance for a late KO

Either that or they're waiting for Golovkin to get old and a bit more shopworn.

I thought Smith would look a bit more powerful in there but didn't really measure up. Good effort by the lad but out of his class.

That's what I reckon. He's 34, my guess is that are biding their time and waiting for signs of decline.

Canela is following the Runweather blueprint.
Build your fanbase that will support you no matter what, duck your main rival till he starts to slow and get old (4-6 years). And only take him on when you get to have the ref the judges, the running of the event the drugs testers that will lets you take banned substances but will prevent your opponent taking legal stuff.
Serves all of you right for supporting this model.

Smith did well, didn't have the power, but Canela showed his fast hands and his good boxing brain. But he can't hide out in much longer in 154lbs. It must kill him to make that weight
