Jose

Is a world class manager, but he's not the footballing Jesus he's not turning water into wine over night here.

We still have a lot of trash in this squad.

We also have a lot of players not mentally good enough, who are chit when it's back to the wall, pull up your socks and fight time, martial I am looking at you. But he's not the only one, there's a few on this squad.

Some players are good enough ability wise but just don't have the mentality. We've got a few.

We've also got a few dreadful players Valencia fellaini Rooney depay etc. This squad needs work.

We're a work in progress.

Eh? How would you had gone in level if Bravo had never have fecked up?

You scored at the ideal moment and that got your tails up for the last 5 of the half plus the second. Up to Bravos feck up giving you confidence City were in cruise control.

For me, United, like Liverpool, are unique clubs in that they have a DNA, an ethos, a style - attributes that are unmistakenly engrained at both our respective clubs.

When Jose Mourinho became United manager, my first thoughts were, sure, he's a winner but is he a Manchester United type manager?

We could look back at that observation in 5 years and laugh but I don't have the gift of foresight - I do however know that United are bigger and better than just throwing hundreds of millions at players.

I also know that a United manager publically criticising his own players only weeks into his inaugral season is not good.

Jose for me has never been a glamorous manager in the way he approaches a football match. In fact, at times, I've found his style to be almost anti-football.

Nicking a goal and sitting deep his proven to be a very successful formula for Jose but is that what the United board wanted? Is that what the United fans wanted?

This may prove to be a match made in heaven but looking at the ingredients, I'm not so sure Jose and United are made for eachother.

Until we've lost more than we've won you can take your accusations of chit management and shove them up your arris

I have little faith in the management of the club to turn the season around.I expect us to continue to make odd team selection choices,Rooney to still be a prominent figure in the first 11 and Jose to continue to alienate himself from the team.Oh,and we're going to get r*ped by all the other top teams (because our football is so turgid and dire).

That's setting the bar extremely low, don't you think? You could finish 8th or 9th winning more than you lose.
There'd be a revolt if that came to pass, particularly if coupled with tedious, dour football.

I'm all in favour of managers being given more time than they're afforded nowadays, but the requisite would be to see a clear purpose and promise in their work.

With Mourinho, you know what the purpose is - to win, no matter how. If all the promise you're looking for is to open the trophy room doors again, that's fine, but a lot of fans legitimately want to see a brand of football that's worthy of the club's tradition and vindicates the outlay made. Mourinho is unlikely to deliver that.

It doesn't help that the likes of ibra are missing easy chances left right and centre. Had ibra converted the chances he had today and against city we would of drawn both games minimum.

Total ballacks. Every team that loses a game can trot that line out. Our stats against Burnley suggest we should of won at least 8-2, but we didn't, and don't waffle ifs and buts as lame excuses.

I'm actually feeling sorry for the United board, having to deal with two Hafi's.
