I assume he had his ankle scan today and an assessment of the injury has now been conducted. Haven't seen anything on BBC Sport or Sky, or our official THFC website. The video footage certainly made it look like a bad twist when his studs stuck in the ground before flicking out. I know many Spurs fans have been saying he is knackered and needs a rest, but this is very different and could be a medium term injury that affects our CL group games and upcoming PL games most notably City & Leicester at home, and away to Arsenal, Chelsea and then United in the next 11 weeks. Anyone else concerned? Can Son or Janssen step up for us if Kane is indeed layed up till December?

Southampton were considering sending him on loan so he could play games and get fit. Doubt they would have just washed their hands with him and sold him cheaply

I was thinking that as well, that we could just have tried getting him on loan if not signing him.

So is Kane out for a couple of months?
This is Janssens chance I guess.

"Mauricio on @HKane: "He has injured his ankle ligaments. We will continue to assess him every day but don't want to put a timeframe on it."

A chance for a youth player like Harrison to step up as a sub.

Adebayor is a free agent
Truth be known, I would have been far more distressed last season.
This is Janssen's time to shine, and it may actually benefit us long term. I like VJ's attitude, he has shown in his career so far he does not shirk a challenge.
