Problem with Rooney is he is almost un-dropable due to his HUGE wage.

The money men just can't justify having that amount of money going out of the bank each week for nothing.

It may only be a drop in the ocean in the big scheme of things but shareholders are probably the greediest forms of life on the planet and to see Rooney being paid his huge wage every week to not even be selected for a match day squad would not go down too well methinks.

Don't think that's an issue. Yes it's a lot of money but Young and Jones combined earn not much less and there's no issue not playing them.

Perhaps Rooney isn't as undroppable as we think and JM has actually found up until now that he's merited inclusion...

Best thing would be for Rooney to do his ACL or have his leg broken. Maybe that could be arranged?

Fu·ck this article and, with all due respect, fu·ck anyone trying to issue "good fan" credentials.

Generally speaking, fans want what they consider best for their club. Some think more short term, others look at the longer term. Just because someone thinks that JM is going to have a detrimental influence on the club that cannot be compensated by short term success, it doesn't make them a bad fan.

The might be proved wrong, but that doesn't mean they don't love the club just as much as the next man.
