I've not commented on the last few games I've seen as I wanted to gain as much evidence as I could.
Today's game - we seem to okay ( or not) in three separate units. The back four on the whole seem engaged and understand what is expected. Pearce seems a decent fit at the moment as Shackell struggles to find his Mojo.
The midfield are strangers to themselves and more critically, defence and attack. It is the system and the players understanding it,or not in our case.
I'm now of the opinion that Hughes' is what he is',if he were the next bright thing, then he'd have been sold .He will remain a good Chamionship player,no more,no less.
Bryson is and should be the catalyst but lacks cohesive support and this manifests himself in appearing to be a headless chicken at times.
Anya has promise, but again needs midfield support and a proper plan of attack.
Attackers - We have decent stock, but if you don't feed the beast.....
So,what's wrong - Collectively,it's not knowing what to do.And that is now aggravated by the pressure of under delivering and confidence (Remember how we folded when SMc was first linked to the Newcastle job)
It also questions in how Pearson is asking the team to deliver his plan - this is of grave concern.
I was going to go to Cardiff, but I won't now,I don,t have the faith that it is worth it - the last time I felt this way was in the Davies/Jewell era.
For a team who have been contenders in the last few seasons,we are a couple of games away from extinguishing any promotion hopes........and its not even October.
If I did those emoticon things,it would be someone slashing their wrists.
I feel like we've been cheated.
Smack ya biiatch up....

How do Jab
Lack of confidence written all over this Derby team. No goals, so how are we ever going to win.
Defence is suspect and as you know, I have never rated Keogh as a player or a captain. You need to be a player to be a captain.
I have to admire Pearson for being so honest. Previous managers have just chosen to spout management crap - he doesn't.
Cardiff will be tough. A win could be the turning point.

Who's back 4? Ours? Pfffttt! Olsson = woeful, Christie = suspect, Pearce = not as wasteful as Shackell, Keogh = Jekyll and Hyde

Tom o - I disagree. In the context of us bring pants, they are the most effective unit - judged by me,over the season so far,not just today.

Rubbery,
A very interesting article and I feel a lot like you but with one exception which is that surely, we can now forget about promotion, and I am far more concerned with avoiding relegation. We have reached that all important point where our players have all lost collective confidence.
Of course I hope NP can turn it round but so far we have just continues on our downward trajectory.
