Had a feeling he'd do well this season. I like what he brings to the table as it's different to Eriksen, Lamela and Alli. Gives us a real option now so, in the team on merit at the moment, Lamela has to step up again to get his place back

Great isnt it - Alli and Eriksen have to work hard to keep their places too. Son has suddenly made himself the first pick in the 3 with his last three league performances

Hopefully Nkoudou will chip in too and really step up the competition

he is a highlights player, and not good enough to play consistently in poch's system, imo.

infact i wouldn't bother with a single player in west hams squad.

I would have taken Feghouli on a free from Valencia tbh

I'd say it's Alli's place in the team that's more under threat than Lamela's

Although atm we have enough games it seems to keep everybody happy

It should be no surprise to anyone. 33 league goals in 94 league games for Hamburg and Leverkusen 2012-15, double figures in all three of them.

The talent was there in flashes last season. The West Ham 4-1 sticks in my mind. Injury, lack of confidence/form and no run in the side after did not help him.

That 4-1 win against West Ham was our best performance last season - Lamela was suspended - Son absolutely brilliant - next league game Son dropped for Lamela. That was the problem. When he did get a start, if he didn't score he'd be dropped. Poch fluffed up last season - possibly cost us the title if I'm honest - I hope he's learned some lessons.
