Has the fat lady sung for Nigel?

Northern Ireland were stuffed 4-1 tonight and all hope of qualifying is lost.
I'm not a fan but feel sorry for the true NI fan who wastes time and money on efforts like tonight.
Is Worthington toast?
Who can the IFA lure with a small wage?
I suggest they let Nigel finish off this campaign and then give him the pink slip?
Names already bandied about Michael O'Neill. Brian Kerr, Lawrie Sanchez, Danny Wilson.....
Who will take the reigns?

"My contract runs out on 31st September and until somebody says different, that's the situation."

Is that a misquote or has Nige used his magic to produce an extra day in September?!?!

The deluded fans are praying for gaelic footballer, self-proclaimed proud Irishman and ex- Saint Malachys College [36 Antrim Road, Belfast] student Martin O'Neill to save them!

Dream on sunshines!

Sure Gerry Armstrong is going to be the saviour of the IFA team. He is going to talk to Darron and Marc and the rest of the Irish lads and convince them that they are from East Belfast...

"Honest lads, you da's worked in the shipyard and everything..."

Laugh.

I see Lawrie Sanchez is sticking the boot in:

"Nigel has had enough cracks at it. Everybody sees the writing is on the wall," said Sanchez. "He is not doing an exceptional job. It's not happening. It has got worse rather than better. Everybody realises it is time for a change”

Sanchez said he would be keen to return to the role should the Irish Football Association decide to sack Worthington. "I have always said I would like to finish what I started," he told Radio Ulster."I would like the opportunity. I would like to return to Northern Ireland in the future."

Why didn’t he ‘finish the job he started’ first time round? Oh that’s right, because he got a better offer. It’s amazing how attractive the NI job is after a couple of months at Barnet!
