Just listened to the BBC Red Wednesday podcast where they interviewed Rob Beasley, the journalist (and Chelsea fan) who has written the new Mourinho biography.
Beasley was effusive in his praise for José, saying how he's the greatest football manager he's worked with and one of the greatest men he knows, how he's generous with his time, and how he's done so much for Beasley and his family.
They then played an excerpt from a recent press conference where José was asked about the book, and in particular the revelation that he wanted to 'break Wenger's face'.
"The guy is making his money," was just about the nicest thing Mourinho had to say about the author.
Someone then mentioned that Beasley had claimed to be close to José.
"You can see how close we were," was Mourinho's response.
Beasley then tried to claim that the way in which the newspapers had serialised the book was not a fair reflection of his work, and continued to talk as though he and José were close friends.
Anyone got any plans to read the book?

Don't know the guy but do football books generally not end up in the bargain bin?
They're all the same, how they proved people wrong, the coach that believed in them, the manager that didn't, the jolly Japes when they were on tour, the toughest opponent etc etc

agree hector, the only decent football books are from guys who have a story to tell and mainly that's cause they alcholics, Gerorge Best Blessed and Paul McGrath's are teh best I've read.
Steven Gerrard's by far the worst, so boring

Robb Beasley has been proven to be a lying surfer.
He was the guy who, amongst other such little treasures, tore Roberto Mancini a new one for being in the stands for Mark Hughes' last game in charge before he was sacked by City, despite the fact he was nowhere near the ground.
He's a skumbag and I wouldn't trust him swearing on his mother's life.
