Not on terms of the score line, but to come back from a goal down and a poor first have and win will now show another side to liverpool!
You only have to see the response from the other wums, to understand how big 3 points that was.
We can can now sit back and hope for decent results this weekend to keep us 2nd!
Enjoy your weekens lads
Biggest win so far!!!!!

Jimmy we only played 1 half poorly. 2nd half we bossed it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, Swansea were always going to sit back second half. The goals came through very poor defensive errors which shouldn't be coming at this level.
Nothing wrong with playing poor and winning though, all champions do it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We forced them to make those errors. We play a brand of attacking football so we press team in making mistakes. On the other hand your team plays so negative dull football.
I know most of the Man United posters here were waiting to for us to lose hence the idiot stretfor whatever his name was made an article on how we could

I think we need to stop all this title talk, the players will freeze, and to be honest to think like that after just 7 games is embarrasing.
Lets just enjoy every win, and then move on, good 3 points now the mancs!

I agree regarding Sturridge, he slowed the game down a few times today when space was opening up
----------------------------------------------------------------------Here we go the sturridge hate. Yes sometimes he holds the ball a bit too much but when he does passes and assists there killer balls although they wrent great today. His movement was 2nd to none and with a bit of luck he would of got a goal he defo needs it. He wasnt great but he wasnt exactly bad. To call him a nothing player is very disrespectful.

Playing poor and winning. Phillipe, Mane, Roberto, all invisible in the first half. No fight, eleven strangers, Lovrens poorest game this season? Their goal, on a plate, provided free of charge. The Swans should have been 2-0 up at half time. Second half, better - could it get any worse? - should still have been at least a draw, if not a win for the Swans.
Karius, 93rd minute, coming out - going back - coming out - freeze time, and Van Den Hoorn decides to miss.
Inspirational Reds? Title challengers?
In your dreams.

Jimmy agree with your points on the game although certain reds fans unfortunately dont like honestly. Good win playing well, but we need to better in defensive areas again and against Man U we have to be on point from the 1st min. I think Can should start against the Mancs.

You can't play brilliant every game, its impossible individually, collectively, and because the opposition always have say on how you play.
First half criticise us but also credit the opposition. They pressed us, got in our faces and made sure we were in a game.
You can tell we are a good side by how hard they were having to work though to do that. Their two centre mids were absolutely knackered after 55 mins, and both ended up getting subbed. While our players were turning on the power and threatening to overrun them completely.
The defence was worrying today. We have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks but today was back to old levels, and they should have scored more than 1. In other recent games we have conceded but its been the oppositions only real chance, so its no big deal.
Today they had three gilt edged chances and luckily for us missed all but one of them (but then poor teams will miss chances, thats why they are down the bottom).
Hopefully we will do better defensively. Man Utd will throw crosses and long balls into our box I have no doubt, so we will have to deal with that better.
Going forward though we look irresistible when we turn the screw. The pressure builds on the opposition and we throw bodies in the box. Its reminiscent of Fergie Man Utd at their best when they were chasing games, you can just feel the goal is coming.
So work to do, far from the finished article (but then nobody expects us to be), but we are a very good side who are rightly considered title contenders, if not likely winners.

Spot on selbst, but in need of qualification. With the possible - and I stress possible - exceptions of Millie and Nathaniel, who else played well in the first half?
We should have been dead and buried by half time. 2-0 or 3-0 to the Swans by then wouldn't have been out of place. I suspect they couldn't believe the degree of control or possession they enjoyed, and screwed the final ball in the process.
Whither now? Back to the drawing board. The team is far too temperamental, too fragile to entertain any thoughts of glory.
Sixteen days for Jurgen to work it out and earn his corn. I can't envisage the Mancs wasting the chances Swansea got. For me, and I'm sure every other Red, it's got to be a win, and a convincing win at that if we are to progress.

I don't agree with your first half summary to be honest.
They had two good chances, one they scored, and one before they scored that was headed wide. The other 'chance' they had was 3 yards offside.
They were the better side for the first 30 mins, but not to the point where they deserved to be 2 or 3 up, Karius had no saves to make.
Towards the end of the half we started playing and causing them problems without creating a chance. It wasn't really a surprise when that momentum continued into the 2nd half and did lead to chances.

Jimmy, if we had been like that all season then fair enough, I'd agree.
But that's only the second game we've been poor like that, first one we lost, but we learned from it and found a way to grind out a win whilst playing poorly.
Every side will have some games where they just aren't at the races, challenging for the top four/title is all about coming away with some points in those matches. We did that.
Don't really know why anyone would be negative regarding that win, we did something we haven't really been able to do since Rafa, win ugly. Enjoy it.

this.
The first header he'd have needed to grow 3 or 4 inches to get on target, the goal should never have been allowed - debatable offside for the finish, and clear offside that lead to the corner. And the 3rd header was clearly offside as well. That lino on the far side had an absolute shocker. Same guy that missed (from less than a yard away) Firmino's foot being stood on. He didn't raise his flag once all game.
