A lot of people on here know that my opinion of Fawaz has got very much worse over time and is pretty much now in a place where only a miracle transformation of his running of the club over a period of time will change my mind.
I have been noticing that as the issues continue; a number of fans that have fairly vigorously supported or defended him recently seem to be wanting rid, plus many others are getting a lot more vocal about it.
Where is everyone on here at?
A few things that have contributed lately......
* Burke sale with no sell on and after seemingly fake assurances
* Contradictory points in interviews after that, but if main one is to be believed then the 13m was made available (or much of it)
* PM and PP don't panic buy in last three days of window, Fawaz puts some blame on them for that
* We then have another last minute payment to HMRC before a court date, the case goes ahead but closed off after that
* Reports that Red Bull made an enquiry to take over Forest but were quickly put off by Fawaz wanting to stay on with 20% and have some involvement. Is sort of denied without being completely denied. Daniel Taylor stated it's the third interested party this year that has fallen by the way side after interest from Canada and Greece before.
* Oliver Burke suggests Fawaz didn't communicate the apparent desire to sell him properly and made him feel like the club wanted rid
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3821730/Olivier-Burke-explains-decision-turn-Premier-League-RB-Leipzig-Bundesliga.html
* We haven't won a game since OB left and in fact, haven't in the league where he wasn't on the score sheet
I notice that someone who is a big supporter of Fawaz (and claims Direct Message contact) has been having a go at Burke and throwing in specific figures for agent and signing on fees in.
In addition he states that a few player suggestions were passed to PM & PP from Fawaz including Lua Lua .
I'd like to write off the above totally, but I fear there is something in it. My personal opinion is that it's fair enough that PM and PP didn't panic buy in the limited time left if the funds were made available to them. It seems fairly clear that they didn't have plans for the cash and wanted to keep him.
So for me, if Fawaz is to be believed why the hell did we sell Burke? And why did he not formulate a plan with PM and PP if that was the intention?
As for the potential take over, some of the interested parties have worrying aspects to them, but we seem to be in a position where they still sound an upgrade of where we are currently at. If the 80/20 has legs and it distinctly sounds like it does, you have to wonder what sort of interest we'd have for a 100% take over if Fawaz had expressed a desire to leave.
One last thing less important thing...
Fawaz has been blocking a load of fans on Twitter lately and we're not just talking abuse here. There is one that while I found it very amusing because she's annoying, in no way would she every say anything even close to the line (Hannah Forest)

As a long time supporter of Fawaz I still wish he would see the error of his ways and hand over the running of the club to people who have a clue.
Yes he has made a complete hash since the day he sacked Cotterill, and things probably won't change so it probably is best if he sells up.
But my one concern is that we may make the same mistake as when Nigel Doughty's executors sold the club; i.e. sell to someone who makes an even bigger mess of things. Bad club owners are too numerous to mention and the chances of us getting a good one are very slim.

That's the dilemma but I just don't see Forest progressing under Fawaz. I also agree with Rat about the family pulling the plug on funds. Fawaz seems keen to point out at every opportunity how much they have invested. Reading between the lines, it suggests to me that no more is going to be forthcoming.

Wouldn't have an issue with that particularly other then the fact that Fawaz is the one still ruling the roost and doesn't have a proper chief exec running the place properly.

I wonder what circumstances would cause Fawaz to give up his idea of an 80/20 split?

Indeed, the thing that grates on me is that a lot of the funds would have been due to bad decisions. If you work out transfer fee net amounts I bet it's lower than a lot of people think it is.

That is something that grates on me because I believe that one way or another they want much of the money back. In other words you make bad decisions, saddle the cost of the decisions on the club and basically want someone else to pick up the bill. They deserve a big loss when he eventually goes

Yes, I bet a good proportion of that cash went in compensation to sacked managers and their coaching staff, etc. Also there were the vanity signings like Djebbour and Abdoun who were on extortionate contracts.

Little has gone into infrastructure as far as I can tell. The Academy was already in place. The ground had a lick of paint and two nice televisions. Never fixed the blooming taps in the F Block toilets though, which was his biggest failure IMO.

If they had upgraded the ground significantly then that would add credence to their claim of wanting a high price for the club.

There will always be a level of debt associated with the club whilst they remain outside the Prem but talk of £105m is a ridiculous debt to have run up. Only player that they have significantly invested in and that's still here is Assombalonga.

Off the top of my head a few bits of wastage...
* Abdoun fee, wages and pay off
* Djebbour wages, fee then pay off
* Majewski contract leading to pay off
* The fee because of loan agreement problems with Hobbs
* Billy Davies extended contract
* Pay offs for various managers, their staff, plus PF
