Dream League - Cup Week 4

GROUP A

A titanic midfield battle today, which neither team won, Thus creating not a great spectacle for the crowd. Goals from open play were always going to be difficult and proved right when it was a free kick and penalty that got the goals. Tielemans floating one in for Dembell to volley home on 38 minutes and a penalty by Dolberg on 53 after being brought down by Gimenez. A fair result on the day.

Pumas 1 - 1 Fishguard
Dembele(Tielemans 38)
Dolberg (Pen 53)
MOTM - Tielemans

Wellington Phoenix 1-1 Tatung Football Club
Goals
Wellington – Milik (D. Costa)
Tatung – Sinkgraven (Ziyech)
MOTM: Milik

A surprise result in truth with Wellington clear favourites based on what I entered into the fruity. However, these 2 veterans have been there, seen it and worn the T-Shirt so many times to know that this league can throw the odds out of the window. A superb last minute point for Tatung was enough to send Tbag on a vengeance mission to Wales to destroy my Gail Platt photo collection. Thankfully Leiva was there to save the day and the collection is safely locked away where Tbag will never find it

GROUP B

Juventus 0-3 SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden
Goals:
Zaldivar (Malcom), Malcom (de Arrascaeta), Zaldivar (de Arrascaeta)
MOTM: Malcom

A lack of tactics from Juventus saw Cambuur have a field day as they chalked up one of the biggest wins in Dream League History. Juventus had home advantage and a strong 11, but with every single tactics/game plan slot going the way of Cambuur it was one-way traffic. Shockingly a no-show would have actually given Juventus a more positive result (0-2)

Forres Mechanics 1-2 Edinburgh City
Goals
Forres: Martial (Digne)
Edinburgh: van Dijk (Robben), Robben (No Assist – FK)
MOTM: van Dijk

A Scottish Derby with some bite! I did have Forres down as favourites especially with their home advantage of course but Edinburgh themselves have been on the other end of several games at home where they should have picked up more points.
