Alright folks, been a while since I've been on. Not football related if you'll excuse.
No longer able to stream shows from Putlocker. Netflix burns my data too much so I guess that leaves me with only youtube not for streaming.
So has anyone got any recommendations for decent documentaries/films/shows/series' on there?
Cheers in advance..

Canam missing project. Listen to David Paulides speak about the background in any number of radio interviews (just type in his name and dozens will pop up) then watch some of these. He's written several books in the Missing 411 series. It's basically about a globally, hundreds of clusters of people that disappear in the same area under mysterious circumstances over a period of years. Most bodies are recovered in areas that have been searched multiple times but cause of death never fully explained except for 'exposure'. Give it time to get into it - it's eye opening.

If you like documentaries on politics, there are a lot of docs by Adam Curtis who is an absolutely brilliant story-teller and lifts the lid on a lot of topics that are conveniently left out of the history books.

Adam Curtis Bitter Lake offers a really in depth look at our history with Afganistan but I there is one about the cold war/ communism in Russia how it was so impractical and eventually failed. Another about how the US gov practised/tested mind control techniques on mentally ill people with the help of former german-nazis. Can't remember the names but tbh every single one is a banger.

Proper research perhaps? Historic newspaper articles from different countries, interviews with witnesses, less mainstream accounts that are not on any formal history curriculum as taught in schools, etc etc etc.

There may well be info in books on isolated topics, but Adam Curtis tends to paint a less idealistic representation of past events and creates a holistic picture of historical events. He's like a historian that's also and investigative journalist. For example, you won't find much written out CIA's involvement in mind control experiments in academic history books.
