Utd fans thought they were buying a superstar who basically ran the show at PSG. So much so that they're paying him an extortionate amount of money even at 35, hindering the development of the talented Marcus Rashford by putting him out wide, mainly to track opposition full backs
Is this justified? An assumption was probably made when he was bought that he was a top 5 striker, let alone a top 10. However, is it a stretch to suggest that the following strikers are better? Especially considering that the modern game is very movement and energy based, and we all know that Zlatan plays like a statue nowadays
Suarez
Benzema
Aguero
Lewandowski
Costa
Higuaín
Dybala
Griezmann
Aubameyang
Would it even be a surprise if players below this level like Lukaku, Lacazette, Kane, Cavani etc... managed to outscore Zlatan?
And without a marquee striker, do Utd fans expect to win the league any time soon?
Is Zlatan a Top 10 striker?

I think Benzema at least is clearly better as well
Very underrated, very difficult to be no 1 striker at Madrid for so many years

But probably easier when you have Ronaldo and, to a lesser extent, Bale taking the spotlight away from you. Not saying he's a bad player by any stretch of the imagination but never really struck me as a top 5 forward.

I realise it's a genuine mistake, but you've missed out Giroud.

Zlatan has been banging in the goals all of his career, he is a world class striker and is better than a number on that list because some of them are not world class.
Not too sure how Dybala is on that list and Cavani isn't really. I'd probably rather have Cavani than Dybala imo.

He was easily a top 5 forward at his best. He's declined since then though. Could still edge into the top 10 if his form picks up.
