If we drew Real Madrid

The year before Bale left he did all he could to get us into the CL with naff all help from others (I think Defoe got 1 Prem goal between new year and the season end) so I don't blame him for leaving to join a team where he didn't have to do it all himself. Modric has also done well and picked up plenty of silverware at Real but I always thought he was a bit overated by us and he suits La Liga much better than the Prem. Shame Bale and Kane didn't get to represent us at the same time, that would of been lethal.

Both top players

Bale was worth the price of my season ticket alone in his last two seasons.

I'd clap both

I'd give them both a Rousing welcome at WHL (or Wumbly).
They deserve it.
They are good for the game.
They make it worth watching - which is the first and foremost interest of the real football fan.
No Parochial small-minded cold shoulders!

I know chronic will probably come on in a bit and say " fu** them we have moved on" but I miss them both. They are both top quality players and we would win the league if we had both Modric and bale in this side

Got no beef with either player. They wanted to move on to better things and Real Madrid are arguably the best club in the world.
Berbatov was the big caaant. Didn't leave us with any time to find a replacement.

Agree apart from one thing - RM are the biggest, not the best in my opinion. Can't stand them personally or their entitled fans

not exactly. once a player leaves spurs i am no longer interested. i don't want them to do badly, and i don't really care if they do well. i am totally indifferent. they didn't want to play for spurs, therefore they can fack off. nothing wrong with it - they aint spurs fans.

if they came back i wouldn't boo them, but i wouldn't clap them.

both fantastic players though, and fair enough they wanted to leave to further their career. the way both went about it was poor though.
