Now after Spurs took the bizarre decision to not persist with the high energy creative midfielder who was arguably our best player in Mauricio's fist season. His 'attitude' problem, which from what it seems was created by his agent, caused him to effectively get kicked out the squad; even though he appeared to be training hard an playing with the U21s to prove himself.
Now fifth in the league, with the exception of Man City and Stoke, Spurs have yet to click outwith the defence. A lot of this can be attributed to a lack of quick ball movement, with the exception of Eriksen most of our players like to, or have to, take a touch before they pass the ball upfield. Meaning that play is slowed down and the defence are given that extra second or two to settle. Which is a big reason why we haven't been able to break down the likes of West Brom & Bournemouth, causing us to drop valuable points.
Bentaleb is currently having a great season at Schalke; in his 8 appearences (1 from the bench) he has scored 3 goals and had two assists. He averages 49.1 passes a game, including 1.5 key passes. If you had watched him at the weekend you would see the effectiveness he has on the game, often playing the key passes to the assister for his goals.
It appears that Schalke are able to pay £17m at the end of the season for him, which looks a steal as he has really impressed. It screams of a missed opportunity for Tottenham, as the insistence on having players that work for the team kills any creative flair we have. I just hope we can have him back in Spurs colours for the start of next season.

What Edin said plus we do support players that show effort.
Soldado is the biggest example who lets be honest was a complete flop yet fans stuck behind him

Tbf, our fans were uncharacteristically exceptional towards Soldado

We was waiting about a decade for a new striker to be far

I'm fed up with these articles on Chadli and Bentaleb!
Chadli and Bentaleb both wanted to leave as he wouldn't be guarenteed football, Poch didn't want them to leave but they wanted to.
Poch doesn't keep players around that don't want to stay so they were sold.
This is all common knowledge if you bother to go on google.

I'm sorry Doos. Currently Bentaleb is contracted for our team so it is relevant.
Shouldn't you stick to your Football Manager assessment of players instead? I would love to hear again how we missed out so badly on superstar Abel Hernandez

To be fair to Abel Hernandez, he was tipped as someone to watch out for in 2011 by FourFourTwo mag....

look like modric,
Unfortunately we need a squad capable of keeping us in the upper echelons of the premier league. Imagine poch retires tomorrow. We have a great 10 (I don't include lamela) thin squad suitable to play one way.

I have been saying this same point over & over but get slated for it every time. But it's so true. Lamela is a hindrance to the potential great team we could have.
LLM, what does Lamela do in training to warrant his continued starting spot - and to stay on the pitch for 90 mins almost every league game?

What has assessment of player or Hernandez got to do with Chadli and Bentaleb wanting out of the club, scraping the barrel there with something irrelevant

You come onto an article criticising it, unfairly, about a player who is still a Tottenham player, albeit on loan.
Lord some holier than thou football opinion, whereas some of the nonsense you have come out with on this forum is laughable.
Yet an article about Bentaleb is too much
