Watching tonight and looking at Sturridge and Origi AND Ings who all cant get in the match day squad, have we got the best forward options in the league?
Personally i think Origi is an unbelievable talented player and of course Studge is just class, yet neither play on match day. Firmino, Lallana, Coutinho and Mane take up the striker and support roles, considering all those players i think we may well just have the best forward options in the league.
City have KDB, Siva and Aguero but not much else, while Arsenal have Sanchez and Ozil thats about it...ox is too irratic and the same for walcott. Spurs, behave...CFC have Hazard and Costa, fab doesnt get a look in and looks short lately. The rest, pah...
Have we the best forward options?

Didn't say he'd had a good season either. Just making stuff up every post now.

Does he work hard? No. Does that suit the system as well as Firmino and the others? No. Is he the next choice DESPITE being a bit lazy? Yes and every time. Started more than he has been sub anyway so not sure how that fits into your conspiracy theory of being benched.

Not sure you know what a conspiracy theory is. I'm not quite sure why you think Sturrridge getting a good run of minutes disproves the notion he's been below par.

Can you in one word describe Sturrridge's season so far?

Sturridge is a natural goalscorer under the wrong manager. He obviously works well with somebody beside him or a No.10 because his work ethic is as clear as day, poor.
But he will score anyone 20+ goals a season. He just doesn't suit Klopp's system. But why would Liverpool sell him? He can still offer something to the club, still scores goals and is a wonderful asset to have as well.
Why would Liverpool sell a 20 goal a season striker just to make other rivals around them stronger. That would just be silly.

I'm torn between mixed and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Some great finishes, good team play, winning a penalty but under performed in a couple of games.
As said I laughed at your "quite some time" comment. We have now concluded that 3 matches worth of football in the premier league is quite some time to you which is fine but I find silly.

I agree and the it was said last night on telly that there will be a point in this season that Klopp will be very very happy to be able to call on him and I agree with that as well.
Firmino missed a couple at the weekend that I'm confident Daniel would have netted but at the same time there were points when Firmino was tracking back and others when he was defending set pieces (he's deceptively good in the air) and Studge ain't going to be doing that.

I went to the game last night. Sturridge was a constant threat for the Spurs defence, albeit inexperienced. Apart from the one chance with his right foot, you can see how lethal he is in front of goal.
Look at his 2nd goal. Not many strikers in the PL have the ability to perform that, as easy as it looks. Nice movement and timing of run to beat the offside trap and the finish was done with confidence. A lot of strikers will buckle when it comes to the finish or not have the sharp movement to beat the offside trap.
I'd only play Sturridge in that Liverpool side if he was paired along someone up top, but then that unbalances the rest of the side imo which is why he doesn't play.
He isn't ideally what Klopp wants, but he is definitely worth keeping hold of because he brings different qualities that at a lot of other players don't have. Origi and Ings both work until their legs literally drop off, but lets say I saw one of them 2 with Sturridge's chance for his 2nd goal, I wouldn't have been so confident in them scoring as I was with Sturridge.

Or 7 matches that includes 4 starts. I find it silly myself to exclude bench hours when appraising a player's season.
