A nice write up by Christain Fuchs

A nice write up by Fuchs here, which I thought you guys might be interested to read. Goes into a few details of last season, how Ranieri is, his career and when he thought we'd win the league. A good read.

Met the guy yesterday at the Academy watching my lad playing for the U17s. He was looking out for an Austrian lad who was having a trial.

A great read from an eloquent player.Wish we had more in the game with his humility and honesty.
Glad the Bocelli moment got to him, it still gets me now.
Having a bed day at work ? listen to Bocelli at the King Power!!

Who the hell has a bed day at work??? I want to work their if they do......

As for the Fuchs article, it shows him to be what many of us have always thought.

A damn fine person, quality footballer who has his feet firmly on the ground and really loves the game and is enjoying his time here with us.

Thanks for posting it YH.

What I really like about this article is very much what I liked about that Mahrez article from late last year - it's what he says about his teammates.

I remember in the Mahrez article, he was asked about what was special about the team and he replied that it was the desire, before going on to talk up the back line and how they'd rather take a bullet that concede a goal (or words to that effect). He was genuinely impressed with his teammates, with the likes of Robert Huth. He was glad to be in the same team as him.
I get the same impression from the Fuchs article. He talks about how good Mahrez is, but he explains why he thinks that - it doesn't come across as some empty platitude of "oh, the lads are excellent". He talks about Shinji always smiling like he's some excited little boy and how it hurt to see him a bit down. He laughs at Drinkwater telling the defenders off for not talking enough.

Incidentally, there's an article below which talks about the relatively slow start made to season by the newcomers. It must be difficult to come into a group if it's really tight-knit, and it must be difficult for the group to accept any change in dynamic that the newcomers may bring. It will change, but interviews like this demonstrate why it may take a bit of time.

Really good article. Gives a good insight into what it must be like to be a part of this group. Bang on with your observations, as always DM!

Did anyone see Fuchs and Okazaki play Rock Paper Scissors while celebrating Fuchs goal?

posted on 27/10/16

Yep. Okazaki lost so got an ear-flick for his troubles.

Serves him right for going paper, I say.
