Is Coutinho Getting Severely Overrated?

Don't get it twisted. He's a top player and he's a match winner. But I can't help but feel that he gets much more credit than he deserves.

He's a very flashy player in that when he's hot he's searing. But he's definitely not on par with the likes of Ozil and Silva (when on song).
Think his level right now is on par with Cazorla.

"so if one of them signs him next summer how silly will you look?"

Hold your horses chimpy. Did I rule it out?
Just suggested Real have superior players in his position, and that he wouldn't suit Barca.
He's not good enough for either team if we're honest.

Fine by us, means we get to keep him.

Unless Arsenal come in with a rediculous bid, plus £1

"Unless Arsenal come in with a rediculous bid, plus £1."

Now that you mention it we could do with a backup for Ozil.

When Coutinho actually plays more left wing than what he does centrally. Shows how much you watch Liverpool doesn't it.

Coutinho >>>>>>>>>>> Iwobi

I can see Coutinho at Madrid and Barca. Believe it or not, not everyone there is a superstar. Barca's would be hard, cos he won't get near their front 3, and Iniesta is still playing. Can't imagine they'd want to play Coutinho in CM. But I'd have Coutinho over some of their attacking mid options like Rafinha and Turan.

Personally think Coutinho has developed more than Isco, though Isco looked the better talent in his Malaga days. I don't see him starting either, but I see him as a squad regular.

Are they gonna pay 60+ mil for a non starter? doubt it, good new for us

James Rodriguez cost around that, and he's had some long bench spells. Don't underestimate Madrid and Barca's penchant for vanity signings. Think ultimately, Liverpool will keep him. Except you're a Bale or Suarez level talent that Madrid and Barca would pull all the stops to sign, PL top teams with all the money they have now can afford to keep their best players.

Many scoffed at the thought of Suarez playing for Barca or Madrid up until his final season at Liverpool. I'm not saying Coutinho will reach the level of Suarez but if he continues to improve, then he will be on the radar of the biggest clubs.

Ronaldo (R9) has already spoken of it -
