As Pep Guardiola took his seat for another round of questions about what it was like to face Barcelona again, whether this time it might be any different and if it was true Lionel Messi was superhuman, an event of a very different nature was taking place a few miles away at the club Manchester City always measure themselves against first.
It was certainly unfortunate timing on the part of Manchester United to call a simultaneous press conference announcing, with some very important-looking capital letters, their first Official Mattress and Pillow Partner. A king-sized bed from the range of Mlily, the latest addition to United’s list of sponsors, was lugged on stage. A succession of first-team players obediently went through their lines about how delighted they were with the five-year arrangement – “It’s very important for us, as players, to maintain high-quality sleep," Luke Shaw observed – and back at City they could probably be forgiven for thinking an awful lot had changed since the great European occasions always seemed to be at Old Trafford.
Anyway
Enough of the Thursday crew
Hopefully the West Brom game will give us a bit of confidence tonight to have a real go at them,up to the opening goal shambles at the nou camp I thought we were holding our own with them for the first time
3 at the back again I suspect with Sterling and Navas given the wingback roles to get up and down to support the attack/defence where applicable
Bravo
Stones Kompany Otamendi
Fernandinho Gundogan
Sterling DeBruyne Silva Navas
Aguero

The 4G at the Etihad is dog shizzle. I usually try to read the live text on the BBC at HT but i takes an age for the page to download.

I just get blank screen. Doesn't even load home page. But when you're standing with 76,000 people all with phones I suppose it makes sense.
Anyway good win blues.throughly deserved too. Makes our narrow 2-1 defeat and 1-0 win look more respectable.

I was there, just got back, and posted on here as it's the only site I could load to see what the Celtic score was.

I thought he did too. Maybe he does and he just loves it on here.
Can't imagine me going anywhere near my phone on a big European night. That's why I think it's odd. I'd be singing and chearing and kicking every ball as I always do.

Judging by the empty tiers at old Trafford this season on European nights it might be better not to say what you wouldn't do on big European nights.

Its amusing having my attendance questioned by a match thread regular

Basically the ones who make those comments are the ones bent out of shape when they are asked do they actually go to games.
The match thread everpresents but never go, ever!
