Before I start, I'm not going to deny there is a slight element of wum to my post, but it's intentions aren't just to wind up.
I know plenty of united fans who during summer told me they would rather have mourinho than pep.
My question is, is there anyone who thought this originally that still feels this way?
I'm not intending to tar all United supporters with the same brush as I'm sure plenty would still have rather had pep, but for anyone who thought mourinho was the better choice, do you still feel that way?
If so, why?
I'm not looking for United fans who think pep is better but don't want to say it and so will give a typically "funny response", but more to see if there are people who genuinely believe mourinho was a better choice or fit for United (which I'm sure there are)
Ta
Ps, apologies to any AFC Telford fans, I can never work out how to exclude you on my phone, but your opinions are welcome.

We're not a million miles off you anyway. We have some great young players and a great manager ourselves. Once José works out the best way to fit them all in,we'll be fine. If that's next season, so be it.
Iv seen more success than a city fan could only dream of. These years aren't easy but I think you have to accept you can't be top dogs for 35 years.
We'll come again. We have too much going for us not to.

You don't need to worry about actually running your football club as a business when you have a bottomless pit of money you bell.
I don't know if you noticed, but commercially were not doing too badly.
Whereas you are a sheikh. Congrats.

You do realise the club generates its own money now!
We are doing extremely nicely ourselves commercially thanks.

You're about five years too late with that and assuming something that is completely different to our owners actual motives.

Peps brought a style of play to city he clearly knows how he wants the team to play.
With Jose I just can't see what his style is at United, we know United bully some teams then park the bus against others but there isn't a definitive style to his team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure exactly what people mean by this.
Is it an inconsistency in approach to games? Because to me, we've started to see a pattern in his setups and intent: at home, 4-1-2-3 dominating possession, quick transition with lots of movement between the lines and overloading; away from home, 4-2-3-1, cede possession, sit very deep and frustrate, counter with the midfield releasing the four attacking players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Admittedly i dont watch Utd too much but from what ive seen i dont agree at all with the above bit.
They take an age, through lack of tempo,to go through the gears from front to back so rarely stretch teams and make them easy to defend against.
Thats not changed from LVG to Mourinho
Until Utd get back playing with that arrogant swagger that was there trademark under ferguson,i dont see them competing for the league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't say we're easy to defend against, at home at least. We've been creating absurd numbers of quality chances in our home games - as many as anyone in the league.
The approach away from home is a work in progress; Jose hasn't got it right yet, and lack of quick release of our pacier players on the counter has been part of the problem.

Watching StretfordBender after a great City result is like David Brent in the office...so cringe it's good. Tantamount to a jilted lover playing a mixtape at full volume from the stereo of his XR3i, whilst his uninterested ex hides behind the bedroom curtains phoning the police.

Wahl Icht - Karthik Apprentice Champion 2016 -
I disagree. Many of City's settled players were getting older and more inconsistent when Pep took over. He appears to be building a new team while slowly sifting out the old guard. He’s already discarded Hart and Toure who were part of the spine that won City their 2 titles. City and United finished level on points last season with United winning an FA cup - hardly a major gulf in quality.
Mourinho’s decision making so far has been poor. I know you seem to idolise him but there is no disputing that. Of course that can change but most United fans will feel disappointed to how they have started the season.
I also agree with Vic Mackey regarding the Pogba transfer. It was more an ego purchase to show the world that United are still the biggest club around. I don’t think much thought went into how he would actually fit into the team.
