Do you think we should ignore FIFA and wear the poppy in remembrance of those who sacrificed everything to allow us to even debate this subject let alone freedom etc?
I for one would sacrifice points deduction than have an organisation in a neutral counrtry who has no concept to the meaning of Armistice and Wear the biggest poppy on both English & Scottish shirts.
Wearing of Poppies ..what's more important?

People who wear them I have no issue with but myself I believe its a lot of nonsense and poppies represent a political and financial stance over any honouring etc
I don't blame individuals but even soldiers at Wembley bringing out FA cup etc is all propaganda now from a govt who has caused turmoil and misery and frankly murder around the world.
I have a lot of respect for anyone who fights for a cause in uniform or not
Even Help for Heroes is something I think is "wrong" in that a man who has fought for his country and been injured shouldn't need to go to charities for help, it should be provided for by the govt who sent him to war. I remember during the Olympics in London H4H were raising money for a pool to aid in recovery and were struggling but mullions were spent for a 2 week event and pools built
We have lazy cants in this country too bone idle to work getting benefits and alcoholics and drug addicts getting all sorts of support but I know an ex soldier who can't even get housing and has been struggling for 2 years getting handouts from mates etc and having all sorts of medical tests to see who should pay what for his condition.
Sorry for the rant but it really annoys me how veterans are treated

FIFA will see sense, but if it doesn't and offers a fine I'll think fk 'em wear the poppy and pay up, but, if its a points deduction then imo Scotland should think hard about it, England wont suffer much with a 3 point deduction as it probably won't effect the outcome of the group but could cost Scotland a play off place
The poppy thing is personal choice, ive said on other threads that i dont wear one but understand and respect those that do out of common courtesy.
Like I said, FIFA will see sense and a compromise will be found.

Please enlighten me as why you think wearing a poppy is both political and financial stance? I wear one as a symbolic gesture to remember not only the fallen but the living both military and civilians, naff all to do with politics
