Think we all need a bit of cheering up - and something to get us looking forward to the weekend with a bit of expectation rather than pure hope - so it's time to remember this cracker from November 2010, the only time we've won at the Emirates and the only time I've ever seen us beat Arsenal on the road.
A stunning comeback victory that earned us a win at Arsenal for the first time in 17 years. All looked lost when Nasri and Chamakh put the hosts 2-0 up. Here we go again. Another dismal defeat was on the cards, just like the year before, when we'd been blitzed before half-time by Fabregas and RVP and lost 3-0. In the end, it was a game where VDV and Modric really showed their class to drag us back into the game.
Defoe came on for Lennon at HT and had an instant impact, winning the only header he's ever won in his life to flick the ball onto VDV. Perfect weighted pass from him, cool and calm finish from Mr Bale. Hang on, maybe all hope was not lost.
Midway through the half, with confidence (and pressure) rising, we won a freekick on the edge of the box after great work from Modric. VDV took the freekick and Fabregas, who had been brilliant in the first half, had a moment of madness and inexplicably raised his hand. Stonewall pen. VDV, cool as you like, stroked the ball home. 2-2. And well-deserved.
A helter-skelter game continued at a helter-skelter pace, with Arsenal starting to get back on top and having a few chances to regain the lead. With five minutes to go we broke at pace, VDV and Bale combining well until Bale was chopped down by Koscielny. Fantastic ball in from VDV, glancing header from Kaboul, pandemonium in the stands. Wenger losing a fight with the water bottle. Perfect.
We clung on for the remaining minutes to claim a famous victory, although I seem to remember Koscielny missing a sitter late on.
Fantastic game, fantastic win. We'd finally won an away game against Arsenal. I remember not quite being able to believe it for a while after, like when we won at OT for the first time in years. We've not managed it since, although we've come close in the last two years, but that win - with the drama, the comeback, the second-half performance - was almost as good as the 4-4, with two goals in the last two minutes from JJ and Lennon.
I remember Gallas having the game of his Spurs career that day. He was an absolute monster, in a season where he and Kaboul made far too many basic errors. VDV and Modric were outstanding, as was Bale. Gomes, after an error for Arsenal's first, made up for that with a commanding performance.
I watched the game in a local Leicester bar - while still a student - surrounded by mostly Arsenal fans. In Leicester! As the only Spurs fan, I muted my celebrations for the first two goals, but went crazy when Kaboul nodded in the winner.
We need a similar performance this Sunday. A bit of intensity, a bit of tempo, a bit of pace and verve. Something to take us out of the rut we're in at the moment. Recent games have been turgid, with very little to get the fans excited. We're better than that. If we can't get up for a NLD, we never will.
Last season we played superbly for 70 minutes and should have won. The year before we played better than expected and should have sneaked a 1-0 win. Sloppy defending cost us both times.
Part of me is fearing a big mashing, but we are still unbeaten in the league and we don't lose games easily. Only 3 all season.
Can't be worse than yesterday and the players will be eager to respond. If we can recreate the spirit shown here, last year and in the 4-4 in Arry's first season, we'll do OK. But we have to show much, much more than we have been in recent games.

We are playing without a recognised striker and have 3 No 10s (Ozil, Sanchez and Theo) who are able to attack from midfield through quick one twos. These 3 are ably supported by the equally as nippy Bellerin on the right and Iwobi on the left.
All very fluid and fast which means teams are unable to play a high line.

This. You're going to murder us

According to Wenger's pre match spiel he is likely to play.
However, he'll no doubt trip over his wallet tomorrow whilst shopping with his missus in Bluewater for a gold plated Jacuzzi and be out until next April.
If Walcott doesn't play we'll either have Ramsey or Ox-Chambo on the right

I expect a tight game as they have been of late
No other fixture I would prefer right now, with the form we are in, as odd as that sounds

Wouldn't agree with the analysis any of your players was outstanding that day. It was a very strange match: went 2-0 up, had a hatful of chances to stretch the lead, then Fabregas decided to make it interesting with a moment of madness. Couldn't believe the Kaboul winner. You pretty much buried all your chances that day.
Think Saturday will be a draw as most of our recent contests. We've struggled against your athleticism and physical edge in recent matches between us and we've been unable to impose our game as we used to.

What time you online for a rematch on fifa. The game is glitched, should be 3-3.

Sad when a Spurs supporter has to mention a particular victory over Arsenal, I remember when they were so commonplace they weren't worth mentioning.
