all his success came from taking over teams other people had built and tweaking them. He has done very well with that in the past.

Maybe because we were linked with him he thought he had to buy him just so we could't have him like with SWP.

We were not linked with him. His agent linked him to us to get better wages from Utd. Wenger said early on that he was not interested in any wide player when Walcott decided to go back wide. We sometimes build up players at other clubs and countries to be better than they are. Just look at Sane. Supposedly labelled the best youngster in Germany by Pep and now can't get into the Man City team.

I'm sure we had bid for him and Dortmund were ready to sell to us until United came in with a huge bid (comapared to ours).

i got no sympathy for him. we have a big match on sunday to worry about.

Nah I think we bid for Mahrez when Theo said he wanted to play upfront. Mahrez then had a sensational year. Leicester expected us to go back for Mahrez but we never did cause Theo went back wide.

Not sure you were ever in for him, but wouldn't have been surprised to see you bid 12 buttons and a couple of washers, and expect cashback on top of that as well.
