Sky Bet Championship
Huddersfield Town v Birmingham City
Sat 5 November 2016, John Smith's Stadium, kick off 3pm
We welcome Saturday's visitors, Birmingham City, to the John Smith Stadium.
Town's form has become a little jaded in recent performances and so too have the players. Have the wheels fallen off this season's campaign, or is it another bump in the road? Just like the pot hole riddled roads of Kirklees, try saying that sober!
Why the drop off in form, tiredness, not fit enough, complacency? I've no doubt Wagner will have been trying to address the issue. Have we, as fans, become too expectant?
Birmingham City travel to West Yorkshire in the vein of picking up away points, will they be content with a point or come looking for a win? I fear if they sit back and defend, Town will not break them down. Nahki just hasn't got going yet, yes, he has recovered from injury, but he isn't getting close to scoring more goals. Is this weighing on his mind?
The loss last week to Fulham must be acknowledged by the squad, but not dwelled upon, learn from it and move on.
Bunn out with a hamstring injury, Palmer doubtful too, Lolley still out; otherwise, a full squad to pick from. I say throw Billing in again now, the middle of the park haven't completely settled. Payne to start for me, as well and Mooy, he should be up for it!
Tomorrow's match is on the anniversary day of Wagner stepping in to the managerial role at HTFC. I wish him the best and hopefully another three points to celebrate with. The lads should be fired up for this encounter out of respect for the manager.
Wagner knows how Birmingham are set up and how they play. It sounds like he expects the players to be firing on all cylinders from the outset. He also expects another big crowd roaring the lads on.
Town's last five results WLLWL and Birmingham's WLWLD, so both team's form is a bit inconsistent.
It will be great to see a much improved Town take on the Blues and hopefully win. Confidence may have waned, but the Terrier identity is still there! Come on Town, UTT!
Blues fans, please feel free to join in with friendly banter, it always improves the 'match day' atmosphere. May the best team win.
Remember, remember the fifth of November! 🎆🌠

How many Championship players actually played for their countries this international break? I don't know. Is it really worth disrupting the league campaign for one or two players? Pointless having players like Ward keeping the seats warm when they know they will not figure, how many keepers do Wales have before him, two? Town could miss Mooy for the odd match without it massively causing any issues.
Apparently, the lads have been working extremely hard whilst in the Spanish sun. Family members there for additional motivation. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the hours they 'worked', two a day! They could have done that many hours in between the lashing cold rain spells in Huddersfield. Hoyle, you got ripped off! I expect nothing but three points against Cardiff, for all the 'hard' work they have put in.
