New Sporting Director

Good piece here from the Echo on our newly appointed Sporting Director, worth a read.

In a nut shell the new model is much closer to the model Klopp worked under at Dortmund. Edwards has been very impressive in his duties for the last 5 years he's been at the club.

Edwards will now head up the "transfer team" and will lead all transfer negotiations, Klopp has no interest in talking to other clubs or agents over contract terms, Edwards will do this, Edwards was also key to us signing Firminho and immediately takes over from Ian Ayre in all transfer negotiations despite Ayre still being at the club for the rest of the season.

He's going to arrive into work on Monday on god's shoulders while God drives the Harley, and don't worry RAP Miki is in the side car

He wanted Firmino over Benteke that was the first thing I loved about this guy. He is in his early 30's as well.

Worked with Klopp at Dortmund as well.

Some of the SOS group have been having a go at him as we did not spend millions in the summer like Utd did.

Klopp and him have always had the same stance. It is how yor train the players you have not the players you buy in.

The club is going from strength to strength and I have not been this happy since the 80's.

Van Djik Quality that lad

Van Djik would be an excellent signing. But, then again, I thought the same of Lovren before we signed him. Not exactly shining in glory is he?

In the press con today, JK left no one in any doubt as to who has the final say: him.

Good enough for me.
