for spurs?
Given that we know Levy doesn't like to hang onto players whose value diminishes when they reach a certain age. With the big D turning 29 last summer, will the club look at his situation and look to cash-in in the near future? I wouldn't be surprised.
It also has to be said that it takes him an eternity to reach his peak level of performance once he has been out of the side. Watching him against Leverkusen was painful viewing and he was rightly hauled off before HT.
Does anyone know how long is left on his contract?
Thoughts?
Was last season Dembele's Swan Song

Drop in form caused by repeated injuries and spell out due to long term suspension. Effectiveness last season was result of long term spell in side in suitable position for him.
If he gets fit he will be fine.
Not wumming but when fully fit he is a vastly, vastly superior player in that kind of role to anyone Liverpool have.
Spurs fans everywhere are mistaking form and quality. Fortunately they have no role in club.

OP he was 'hauled off' due to picking up an ankle injury

I agree when he is on top of his game but to be fair other than last season that's been all too rare.

He is looking a bit of a sicknote now. Needs replacing in my opinion.

He`ll be back, he just needs better luck with injuries, and that horrendous Wembley pitch will have done none of our players any good.

Sorry for not replying, got snowed under at work...
Fullback, i heard he had a knock in which case fair enough, it explains the lethargic performance, but it enforces my secondary point; that he takes an eternity to reach a level where he can be relied on to do what we need him to do. I think this is a big consideration for Poch and Levy going forward.
We badly need him to do what he did last season. We are completely bereft of creativity and it's hurting us.

Can not believe fans are writing off a player who only last season put in one of the best season performances from a spurs player in recent memory.
Unbelievable.

I thought he wasn't gonna feature today after getting a knock v Bayer tbh, but he was great for the most part. Not at 100% yet, but heres hoping he can stay fit for an extended run now
I liked the formation change today. We did the same against Watford last season i think, and it worked a treat. It helps immensely having both Walker and Rose playing together
