It's true that firm goes out of the window in these games and that is what happened today. For some reason, Spurs started both halves better than we did and in the second half, we paid the price. But overall, I'll take a draw. But we HAVE to beat Man Utd now!!
Our defending has been less than stellar for a number of games. We take way too long to close players down when they have ball and space. How Dembele just ran inro our box was pathetic. He should have been tackled firmly 5 yards earlier. Iwobi also does help Monreal as well as he should. And Xhaka looked knackered by 80 mins.
Going forward, we lacked composure a bit. Iwobi should have scored in the 35th minute. He really needs to work on his shooting. We severely mis Santi. The number of misplaced passes in the midfield would be greatly reduced. Overall, I don't think we were terrible and a draw was a fair result.
Having said that, my one gripe was the Ox. How can he put in good performances and follow them up with utter sihte like today. Lack of composure on crosses made me livid. Hopefully he gets better and fast. He looks like one who needs a 6 month loan...but we don't have anyone else to cover for Theo on the right.

As long as Cazorla is out, our Mf will struggle. I'm surprised we never went for someone like Wanyama. Such a powerhouse in MF.

He is a BEAST....one fault though is he commits a lot of fouls. How he did not get booked today is a mystery. But yeah...getting the ball off him is very very hard. Keeps it simple and mostly efficient.

can be summarized as frustration. The boys tried but the the managers decisions made me stop watching the game.

Arsenal were out muscled in midfield that was the difference between the teams today.

I am not Wengers biggest fan due to continously giving us groundhog seasons, but I can't blame him for pulling Walcott off for Ox. One was just coming back from injury and the other had shown good form in the past couple of games. Not his fault Ox decided to have a stinker. Iwobi I was tidy although he needs to work on his insisting and not jogging aimlessly when we are on the defensive.
Don't know what decisions would make you actually stop watching the NLD!!

I've been saying for a few weeks now that I prefer Elneny to Xhaka. The part of his game that was certainly weaker was his passing but we have started to see in the last few games that it was improving and he was starting to make decisive passes. Add that to him being a bit quicker physically and mentally and it makes a difference. I know Xhaka is still relatively new to this league, but we need to be picking our strongest team and for me, he isn't part of it.
I can see Elneny forcing his way ahead of him in the same way Song did with Denilson. And btw, I called that one right long before most other fans and got a lot of stick from fans who still thought Denilson was better.
I'm not writing Xhaka off entirely but not convinced yet he will make it as a top player in the PL. I think Elneny can be though. When we got Elneny I thought it was a mistake only buying a player valued at £5m but am glad to say I was wrong on that one.

Dembele is a tidy player. Wanyama should have picked up a yellow. I don't think it was about muscle. Xhaka and Coquelin are solid but not gonna give you the quick transition going forward, or the ability to wiggle out of tight situations.
