second team?
By second team I mean like another team you support alongside the main team you support, but you support the second team a little less. I'm sure many people on this site have second teams and it's not weird to have one, is it?
Is there anything wrong with having a

The only people who support a second team primarily support a small club and follow a bigger club as their second team.

To be fair Wahl fits this criteria

Agree mirkdude. Dunno why people always blame the managers when things go bad.
Just dude, because they've got bad attitudes. If Conte 'steps out of line' it'll be the same thing all over
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But why? Why play bad? Why revolt against Jose? Why have they never done it for other managers?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mad isn't it? Why come back off pre-season having just won the title and decide to revolt against the manager you were successful with?

to be honest Wahl allot of what you say re Jose I feel the same about Rafa and plenty of reds do too, he took on the board he knew were ruining the club and lost his job far too soon.

I thought Brendan was treated unfairly by the Pool. Lafa had to go in the end, you regressed badly towards the end, and also made some terrible buys during his time there.

Part of the reason Rodgers went was because Klopp became available. It was either now or never for the board.

Plus, in regard to Rafa, we generally know the players he wanted to sign, but he wasn't allowed the funds to do so by the owners and had to make do with cheaper options. Under better owners or without the financial crisis that crippled them I have no doubt that Rafa would have done much much better than he did towards the end.
However, as to the OP- No, I don't see how you can have a second team to the extent Wahl does. There are clubs I have an affinity for and want them to do well (Derby County and RB Leipzig- Live in Leipzig and used to work at the BBG and to a lesser extent Southampton due to several family members being fans and one marrying their ex-captain ) but that is about all I can manage. I would never ever want LFC to not win for any reason. Even the Blackburn game back in the day!

Just dude.
This thing has happened to plenty of Chelsea managers in the past. I remember a few years ago hearing how Michael Ballack, Petr Cech and a couple others went behind Scolari's back and complained to get him sacked. You then had Lampard talking disrespectfully about AVB after he had been fired.
You ask why the players acted this way and I can tell you think Mourinho treated the players badly. but why do you think mourinho treated the players differently to the way he had treated them before? It's because Mourinho was so shocked by the attitude the players showed after winning the title in 2015. They came back from their summer breaks badly overweight. This shows a bad lack of discipline for a footballer but also a lack of mental sharpness and desire to improve. Their attitude wasn't a team who had just won their first league title and now wanted to win more. Their attitude was a team who had just won their league title and now felt satisfied and wanted to take it easy for a while. This is a direct opposite to Mourinho's own attitude. Mourinho is a relentless winner who will never stop striving to eclipse himself and become stronger. What happened next was Mourinho trying to push these players and change their attitudes. I notice some Chelsea fans talk about Hazard and how he scores one goal and then that's it for Hazard. For him he's done his part and he relaxes. This is the sort of thing that Mourinho tried to change. Unfortunately when Mourinho pushed the players pushed back. There was nothing Mourinho could do once these players decided they didn't want Mourinho to manage them. I can tell you right now, Hazard, Oscar, Matic, Courtois... these dudes don't want to be as good as say Barcelona or Real Madrid. They don't want to reach that level. They would be happy being an Arsenal. Always being around the top of the table but never pushing themselves hard enough to be the very best. This was something Mourinho could not accept. So the players gave up and the cowardly board fired Mourinho even though he was the one in the right.
