When we were behind fergie went to a 3-4-3 formation so by no means is the 3 at the back lark banished to the closet!

It has lost us more points than it has won us azza.
Also three at the back got us relegated.
As you say, it probably won't be ditched yet.
Maybe if we didn't keep conceding we wouldn't have had to have gone to a three.
However, credit to the lads for a hard fought win and especially to Mandy who changed the game.
He will probably start next week.
The other good news is that now the Stevenage game has been put back then Willuams will probably be back for that game and should only miss two more matches.

Mandy just looks a bit different hound.
Perhaps starting every week at this stage of his career would be a bad thing but then again if he is on his game why not start with him.

Great comeback yesterday,
Azza , Fergie adapted his formation to counteract Exeter's weird attacking formation of 3 / 2 / 4 / 1.
As Exeter were still pushing for their elusive first home win , they were picked off on the counter by our 3 / 4 / 3.
As I said last week the extra game time gained in the Checkatrade Trophy is paying dividends in the league.
Liam Mandeville take a bow 👏.
What will Fergie do next week ?.

Relaxed, self - effacing, with a sense of humour yet confident was how Mandeville came over in his post - match interview. He praised Fergie ' s coaching and credit is due for his substitutions.
Watching the highlights until Liam The Man came on was not very pleasurable; Exeter were not really second best up to that point.
Fergie ' s criticisms were justified and it is really as much about individual performances as formations.

Individual performances are ultimately the deciding factors in matches aren't they Don.
No matter who is in charge.

I see Mandy is in the EFL Team-of-the-Week. This must be the youngest Rover ever to make it.
Lanza, I know the game is much faster these days, but King Alick started every week at the age of 16. I was lucky to be at his debut game when he was still 15.
Watching the highlights, Mandy certainly made a big impact. I love his honesty about the header - he really wanted to head it down! To me, the best was the third goal. A really determined run and a great pass when some might have gone for goal themselves - are you listening Willo?

Are you sure he might?

Alfie May, been on trial with Gillingham and they want him to come back for a second trail. Stevenage also want to get him back again. Apparently he's scored nearly 50 goals since start of last season with his club Hythe United.
