Thought it was a good game. The players clearly knew what they were supposed to be doing, unlike under Hodgson; they were far more positive and linked up well.

On this showing I'd like Southgate to get the job. I think having a younger manager who can relate to the players is a good idea; it's certainly worked for Wales. He's done a decent job with the U21s and it's time to step up.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the powers that be don't think along the same lines. My fear is that they may come and try to get Bruce. Hope he's sufficiently committed to the job here to say no, if they do.

Cant see Bruce leaving Villa just now. But I wouldnt be surprised to see Southgate get the job nor would I be surprised to see Wenger get it.
