November

Well...here we are in November and it looks like it will be as shtty as every year.

So far, injuries to Cazorla (no return date) and now Bellerin out for 4 weeks at least. Debuchy is our new Diaby (disappearing act - apparently injured) and Jenkinson looks off the pace (normal after a long layoff). No idea who will start on Saturday at RB.

I wrote an article last month about how ideally we had needed to win the 8 games leading into November but we failed to beat Boro. I also stated that as much as we needed the 6 points against Utd and Spurs to make a statement, I would be happy with 4 especially if we beat spurs. But somehow, most players phoned in their performance in the derby and now we have to beat Man Utd to keep pace with the league leaders. THis Utd team is utter rubbish but we have been beaten by Moyes and LvG when they were just as terrible. So not very confident about the game on Saturday especially as it is away.

Not a happy gooner at the moment as we are falling like flies (would not shock me if Sanchez gets hurt on Saturday due to his dodgy hamstring) and put in a crap performance against the noisy neighbours.

Fingers crossed for a good performance, but unsure who will play at RB, CF and CM and of course completely unsure which Arsenal will turn up.

U from Maine?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Used to live there when I created the account. Originally from Tanzania, lived in London, then Massachusetts, Maine and now New Hampshire!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whereabouts in Tanzania?

I took a posting to Kenya about 4 years ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mwanza...right on the shores of Lake Victoria
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My company picked up a construction project around the Dar Es Salaam area and we're due to break ground around February.

I've always wanted to visit. Might even get to see Kilimanjaro up close when our expat work permits come through.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds awesome.
I spent a lot of time in Dar as my mum is from there so a lot of family. Have not been back for 13 years though I know a lot has changed based on conversation with old school mates.

Down in MA myself. Might end up moving up to NH for the cheap housing though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Higher taxes on housing in NH I think. But if you work in NH, no income tax. All swings and round abouts. Where in MA are you? My Man Utd loving friend wants to meet in Boston for the Arsenal vs Utd game. But it's 730 am...I dont want to drive close to 1.5 hours from Dover for a game we will in all likelihood lose. I'd be livid!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

aye but no sales tax. Housing in MA is ridiculous. A $500,000 home here goes for about $350,000 up in NH. I used to be in belmont next to Cambridge/harvard.

Moved over to the beautifully urban town of Everett now. Bought a house there as that market was just about to boom. Seems we got in at the right time as the house values have gone up about 25% in 3 years. Gonna take my $$$ and move somewhere more rural

Dover's an OK wee spot. It used to have the only Indonesian restaurant in New England called Dave's Spicy House.

Then Dave moved away

Where you planning on watching the game? Phoenix? banshee?

Lyr in Copley. It's an Arsenal fan spot.

THis Utd team is utter rubbish
.....................
Arsenal side is worse then the 8-2 side. Bunch of amateurs who grind out results luckily last few seasons.

Apart from Cech and Sanchez and maybe Ozil no other Arsenal players would make a squad.

Man Utd averaged 20.8 shots per game at home, only Liverpool with 21.4 shots per game at home managed more. The thing is we scored 8 home goals but should be on at least 16 goals at home even with average finishing. We take like 12 shots per goal at home.

Before you say we shoot on site we also had highest percentage of shots inside 6yd box. Zlatan should be on at least 15 league goals this season but is on 6. If he had Rashford conversion rate of last season he would be on like 40 goals in the league. I actually found it weird espn fc crew talk up Arsenal and rubbish Man Utd. They also said Zlatan is struggling in England as he is playing in a poor quality team that struggles to create chances for him in a league with much tougher defenses then in France where he played in the best team by miles. The crazy thing is Zlatan probably never had so many chances per game in his whole career then he has had in England.

Amazing how 1 player misses have cost us easily being top of the league. Even Pogba has had big misses to this season.

Your shot total is probably padded based on the game versus Burnley was it? You lot look completely shyyte and seem to have no idea how to play attacking football anymore. Which would make it more galling if we were to lose.

Saying that this United team is better than the Arsenal team makes you sound completely bonkers. If I were to pick a combined team on FORM, I think only De Gea would make it. Our back for is a better unit, Cazorla and Coquelin have the 2 cm positions sewn up. Theo, Ozil and Sanchez have been great so far. Maybe a case for a United player instead of Iwobi, but I cant even think of who it would be. Rashford and Martial are not wingers. Young is crap. Lingaard has not played much. So yes on form...you would struggle to get 2 united players in a combined team.

Your back 4 is garbage. Last season Cech bailed you out and this season again teams wastefulness has bailed you out.

De Gea is 26th down on that list while Cech is 6th. TBH I don't get the media. The more crap De Gea plays the more praise he gets. The better he does he gets slated. The last 3 seasons has been the most easiest in his whole career and I believe his worst seasons yet he gets player of the year for making 2 saves per game.

De Gea cost us an easy 2nd last season and this season cost us qutie a few points with costly errors.

See...deluded. Last season we conceeded 1 more goal in the league than Man utd and Spurs who conceeded 35. Yes Cech saved us a few points but that is what he is there for...like any other keeper. If our back 4 was that rubbish, I think we would not have conceeded the second least number of goals all season.

This year, we have conceeded 11 in 11 (with 4 in the first game playing Chambers and Holding). Yes we cannot hide the fact we were ill-prepared for the opener but since then, we have conceeded 7 in 10. (Yes, some is down to shoddy finishing, but that is not our fault as all teams will benefit from shoddy finishing) And all that is with 2 new CBs in Holding and then Mustafi. Only Chelsea, Man City and Spurs have conceeded fewer this season. So again, you are clutching at straws.

I think Arsenal had De Gea instead you would have conceded around 45-50 goals.
