Going on todays results Southampton = United

We created plenty of chances but our key players looked tired after the international week. Apart from our keeper, Lovren and Henderson, all others had chances to score. Our Keeper was a spectator all game. We also looked slow. We waited too long to shoot. We should have had a penalty for shirt pulling. I don't think Southampton will play that defensive against any other teams until they play again. We forced them to do that. They were also time wasting. Bertrand and Foster.

Signs are good. We have dominated every single game this season yet we lost once and drawn three times.

The international breaks never seem to help us however they are a reality, the squad coping for the odd injury is key. Players outside the regular starting 11 being ready to play well when called upon is going to be key and determine where we finish I think.

Yes, blame the international break and not the team... give credit where it's due: Sotons defence stood well and was good value for the draw.

I just don't understand the point of playing a friendly days after a World Cup qualifier. By all means play them when there are big gaps in the calendar but the last one really was a meaningless friendly.

I fancy International Break FC to pip Liverpool to the fourth Champions League place.
