As there is a gap in the market this week for some meaningful information regarding Saturday's game to enlighten absent fans, I thought I would appeal to another niche entirely and provide some likely unhelpful nuggets of enlightenment....
1. It's great that we have attendances and stuff, but not at the expense of my convenience. Every week I have to get earlier and earlier to be sure of a parking spot in my preferred location (no I'm not telling you where). This week, I was almost turned away as it was full, but I managed to turn on some charm and promise the nice girl on the gate I would be a "good citizen" and abandon my vehicle responsibly.
2. It was quite a nice day, but winter has certainly arrived. No scarf, no gloves, no jumper, no thick soles, no fun. Those 606ers in sunnier climes, try not to be so smug.
3. I got 95/1 on a 2-1 win with Keogh first scorer. There is a reason those odds are long.
4. I like Max Lowe. He had a good game, and is growing nicely into a competent left back at this level. Good on him, I'm a big fan of academy lads getting game time.
5. That said, his co-fullback Baird had a decent game, getting forward on a few occasions and making most of the right noises. He is painfully slow though. One slightly wayward ball played a couple of feet in front and he's so glacially paced that it trickles out harmlessly towards the Toyota stand.
6. Don't take Mrs Fridge to a game. In between complaining about the temperature she just asked questions such as "is he [Hughesy] a real albino?" and in response to Camp's barracking, "What did he do?"
7. Which leads me on nicely to our two penalties. From what I could see the first one wasn't great (well it can't have been it counts as a miss) but the second was dire. And on top of all that after all the grief Camp had been given he was then able to mock us. Good job we were well up at that point. I think some time practising penalties would be well spent.
8. Bradley Johnson is still forcing me to eat my words. Couldn't really fault him again. Luckily I find being wrong less irritating that him being paid tens of grand a month to be carp. I'd rather have it this way round, besides, I'm used to it anyway.
9. Rotherham were poor, after a good first ten minutes they were otherwise weak. Jackett will do well to keep them up.
10. We took our feet off the gas in the first half after going two up. The tempo dropped, and whilst we kept the ball well and moved it around nicely, I'd still like to see us really go for the jugular in that sort of situation. Yet again we were left saying we should have had more. Fortunately Rotherham aren't Wolves and it didn't matter so much.
Still, things are looking up Rams fans. We're getting there.

AJ:
So he can't or won't tackle, can't score from set pieces, won't take penalties, and is PoTY..?

I don't understand the point you are trying to make Spart. While in theory every putt could be holed, this does not occur in practice. It is not humanly possible to attain 100% accuracy. It is not possible for a player to hit the ball in the top corner every single time. What matters in practice is whether the strategy and technique of the kicker results in a goal with an acceptable frequency. Are you saying that humans are capable of never making an error? If you accept that some degree of error is inevitable then you can then argue about what the frequency of error should be. Because a player misses one kick does not necessarily mean he is incompetent. A darts player is not incompetent if he occasionally misses a double. In any occupation, error and incompetence are not synonymous - if they were none of us would be employed.
I understand that for every single penalty a goal will be scored if the player kicks it in the right part of the goal but in practice, as opposed to in theory, what percentage of penalties do you think ought to be scored?

All of them. You're not taking penno after penno continuously with a random goalie jumping around you are taking one every now and then. Just do it. It's a piece of cake.
You lot could argue black is white.

Fridge Well done for filling in. I was very interested and enjoyed the read. I too like Lowe and academy players being favoured in general. They are our future!.
It is still hot here 96 yesterday. Flying back at the weekend - back well I time for the Forest game. Don't know about the cold. Just had some pics of the snow it Wales. It looked very nice.

I did not read all the Penalty Ballistic posts so may have missed something. But surely the most likely number 1 choice should be straight down the middle at about 6 feet height. Of course you have have a range of penalties as for sure there will be some research done by the defending side.
