New jerk or not, I'd like to ask fellow spurs fans if you think he is?
While last season was great overall, it remains that we absolutely bottled it at the end of the season which left a sour taste in the mouth. By getting knocked out of the CL so early (in a boring group as well might I add, may as well have been in Europa) we have essentially negated that achievement.
The west ham win papered over the cracks in my opinion as we were extremely poor in that game as we have been all season with the exception of Man City & Stoke. Nevertheless, it is still 1 win in the last 8, 7 goals scored (how many were penalties?).
We have been poor in all cup competitions every season, with the exception of the League cup in Poch's first season - even that included about 3 games v League One teams, including a semi v Sheff United which we needed extra time to win!
So, with the high demand footballing environment we live in, is Poch untouchable based on last season's success?
Personally, I am underwhelmed. I think he deserves until the end of the season but if we finish below 5th then he should go. The quality of our play is so slow and boring, its on par with AVB yet we don't have Bale to save us. Isn't Poch and Klopp both supposed to play the high press? How are liverpool so exciting and we are so bad going forward. In fact, do we even high press anymore?
Thoughts???
Is Poch untouchable?

If we do fail this season he will probably resign anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fail as in what? Not win league? Not win any cups? Not get in CL? Not get into EL?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes Hengy YES. Not finishing top 4 would be a failure.

The old sack manager for not getting top 4 cycle continues yay

Hengy, I haven't said I want him sacked have I? I said he will probably resign if we fail.

For the record I DO NOT want Poch sacked.

In a serious note, it's a sick feeling going out. I was at OT for the champs league game when we basically threw it away under vG. A shiiiiitty 0-0, with the best action the Stretford End all stood up to salute George Best, some anniversary.
We were diiiicked by Wolfsburg the next game and we've not been back since

You've never even been to Manchester

I was at Old Trafford when you were still a twitch in your father's nutttt-sack.
Rather poignantly it was against Spurs, about 22 years ago. Andy Sinton, Ian Walker, think Ruel Fox was in there.
King Eric scored a beauty arrow into the corner.
You won't remember that you young pups

Well done on your research there saan
It's just a tad unfortunate for you that most of the Utd board think you're a pratt with no idea whatsoever. So I think I will take their side here and believe you've never been near OT in your life. Typical jump on the band wagon nnòñg

you didn't use the "the rest of your board" card .......Proper playground that. You've spent too much time arguing with Maf

You say we haven't hit our stride yet, well, just maybe we have, maybe this is as good as we will get who knows? We are all expecting it to get better I know hut maybe it won't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Given that Kane and Alderweireld have both been missing (together at times) and Dembele, Eriksen & Alli are yet to really get going, I think it is fair to assume we will get better. And if not, continuing as is and finishing fifth, 3 or 4 points off fourth, wouldn't be some huge failure in my book at least.
We are dealing with a young squad and a certain degree of inconsistency should be expected. As long as our players (and Poch to a degree) learn from the experience and come back stronger the following season, it would be okay.
I still think we will finish in the top four but the idea that it would be a failure to do so strikes me as unrealistic.

Poch can`t help it if players like Eriksen choose to shirk tackles whilst sitting back and pocketing their new big fat contracts.

What a shame that what could have been an interesting article was ruined by the normal schoolboy type behaviour.
I can only guess that the reason this happens is that most of you know fack all about football and treat a decent FOOTBALL forum like a childrens playground
